Today we’d like to introduce you to Ella Cobb.
Hi Ella, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
It is hard to keep this story short because it has evolved over several years; but in short, I grew up obsessing over fashion and photography. My Instagram is just a combination of the two. I showcase all aspects of my life but mostly fashion.
In December 2018, I decided I wanted to post more consistent, fashion-inspired posts. From that point on, I slowly grew my brand and narrowed my nitch. Which in return, I experienced more engagement which resulted in more followers.
As a ‘Mirco Influencer’ I show off my personality through my stories, I display my love for fashion and home decor through my static posts and reels; and also add in some lifestyle and motherhood posts here and there.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
When I first started taking Instagram a bit more seriously, I was posting anything and everything I liked. From heels and a tiny black dress to converses and baggy jeans. This inconsistency got me nowhere in the Instagram world, but I did learn how importing honing in on your nitch is when you’re trying to grow a following. There were several years where I saw zero engagement and my follower count stayed the same. Most would give up, but I didn’t. I post because I love it for me, not for anyone else.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I am known for posting casual, neutral outfits with a pinch of boho. Lack of Color hats, Matisse booties, linen shirts and light wash denim – this is my uniform. I love when an outfit has that ‘I just threw this on’ look. I post a lot of Free People, I feel this brand represents me the best.
What do you like and dislike about the city?
The only thing Tampa doesn’t have is mountains and cold weather.
