Today we’d like to introduce you to Cameron Baisden.
Hi Cameron, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I moved to Tampa about two years ago, honestly kind of on a whim. I had been living in Atlanta for a little bit, and while I loved parts of that season, something kept pulling me back to Florida. I didn’t know exactly what that meant yet, but I knew I was craving a life that felt more aligned, more exciting, and more like me!
I remember hearing friends talk about Tampa, and the more I pictured it, the more it felt like the place I was supposed to be. So I worked really hard to make the move happen. I packed up, moved in with friends, and ended up in Westchase because it made the most sense at the time.
From there, I just started building — my community, my routines, my career, my confidence, and honestly, a version of life I used to only dream about. It wasn’t all instant, but looking back, Tampa became the place where everything started to click. Now I feel really grateful because I get to live a life that feels creative, full, connected, and very much my own.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
I don’t think any road is ever fully smooth. Honestly, the road might not change much — you just get better at driving on it.
For a lot of my life, I struggled with not fully knowing who I was outside of who I was for other people. I’ve always been someone’s favorite friend, favorite coach, favorite kid, favorite brother, favorite athlete — but I don’t think I always knew what it meant to really show up for myself.
Moving to Tampa helped me learn that. It gave me space to figure out what I wanted, what made me happy, and what kind of life I actually wanted to build. In a way, I’ve learned how to be a little selfish — not in a bad way, but in the sense of choosing myself, doing things because I want to do them, and moving at my own pace instead of always living on someone else’s timeline.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I wear a lot of hats—social media manager, content creator, micro-influencer, coach, and choreographer—but they all tie back to one thing: bringing creative ideas to life.
I love turning concepts into content, campaigns, and experiences that feel intentional and genuinely connect with people. I’m known for my creative edits, storytelling, and building community both online and in real life.
Since moving to Tampa, I’ve hosted events, partnered with local businesses and brands, and built meaningful relationships along the way. At the end of the day, I don’t just create to post—I create to connect.
What matters most to you? Why?
What matters most to me is knowing that, at the end of the day, I tried my best.
I care a lot about finishing what I start. In a world where it’s easy to leave ideas half-done or let projects sit because life gets busy, I take pride in doing my best to bring things to the finish line. That doesn’t mean everything has to be perfect, but I want to know that I gave it real effort, real intention, and followed through on what I said I was going to do.
For me, that’s what matters most — showing up, trying fully, and being proud of the way I carried myself through it.
