Conversations with NJ Slot Guy

Today we’d like to introduce you to NJ Slot Guy.

Hi NJ, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
One day I was sitting on the couch with my father. Once a month, I would travel with my parents to Atlantic City but life took over. I had three kids and there wasn’t much time to do these things anymore. I asked him about his favorite slot machine and looked it up on YouTube. Well sure as hell, I end up watching these channels of people playing slot machines. The first time in my life, I decided to jump right in and say “I can do this too”. Well, I did, and it brought out a whole side of me I didn’t know existed. I started a slot channel in August of 2018, by August of 2019, I had 25,000 Subscribers. I could not believe how my channel exploded just from me being myself and entertaining people in front as well as behind a camera. Now those subs have doubled and I have over 25 Million views across my channel. I stopped working and put everything on hold and jumped right into what this could be. Every single day it grows and every single day, I make another person laugh and smile and relate to someone they watch on their phones daily. As of today, I travel across the country to do what I love. My favorite property to visit is Hard Rock in Tampa. My future plans are to keep progressing my channel and getting my name out there more and more. I would love to do stand up comedy one day and hopefully, this will be a gateway into that.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It never was a smooth road sadly and it gets more difficult every single day. My channel exploded and I didn’t think it was going to go anywhere. I had to do so much to keep my content good and consistent. It is very hard to do that when you are spending your own money and doing it on slot machines nonetheless. When Covid hit, all the casinos shut down and it was impossible to do anything to go get footage. I was lucky enough to stack up my videos for a rainy day. Now, at the pace I am going, I have to make sure I’m pumping out videos every single day or other days at the very least. You have to keep yourself out there in the public eye and do it constant otherwise you could end up being just a flash in a pan.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I play slot machines on my channel. High limit and high limit only slot machines at that. I am known for the thick New Jersey/Italian accent and comedic commentary while I play those slot machines. I am most proud about helping to start other channels. I had a number of people reach out to me on how to do this and how to go about it. They had me here to guide them to get them started and now they have conquered some of the things I have and even more! They saw the different things I did and what set me apart from others which was that I was actually entertaining!!!! That’s the one thing the slot community lacks is a lot of creators depend on the slot machine to be the entertainment when in fact people are watching for YOU. Once I picked up on that, I decided to do my best to be appreciative of my fans and give them what they want, which is me. I also show every single win and loss. The slot community is filled with wins and jackpots when in reality, you mostly lose on slot machines. I post every single loss I endure in the casino unlike a heavy part of the community.

Before we go, is there anything else you can share with us?
Do not ever think you cannot do something. I am a living example of this. I sit now and realize that 20 years ago, I should’ve flown to LA and got on a stage. Well better late than never because now I created the stage and people come all over the place to come sit next to me, meet me, have a drink and watch what I do behind the scenes.
