Conversations with Jaime Daniel

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jaime Daniel.

Hi Jaime, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I have been involved with dogs my entire life. I raised, trained and showed dogs, rescued, fostered and adopted dogs and was in vet med on /off for almost 40 years, since I was 14. In 2020 I left my job in the veterinary industry. Fast forward to June of 2023, I was ready to do something fun with animals and I was introduced to this concept via a Tik Tok video. I knew instantly that this is what I was meant to do. I know dogs and I knew that I could help so many dogs with this so I began my journey. By January of 2024 I had started my LLC, found a bus, had it converted, bought my first two slatmills and I was ready to hit the road. I started out by going to Collier County Domestic Animal Services and helping shelter dogs. I posted and marketed on social media and before long I had a steady stream of dogs running. This has been the most amazing journey and so fun!
I have a full schedule of loyal clients with wonderful dogs.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
I have been very fortunate and my challenges have been minor. Surprisingly, the biggest challenge is not the dogs, it’s convincing the owners that while their dog may appear “scared,” we all are somewhat nervous about trying something new. Getting them through it is the key to helping these awesome pups gain the confidence that they need to have fun and run, or walk, whatever makes them happy.
I also had to get to a place where I could create territories so that I wasn’t going from one end of town to the other and back again wasting time and gas driving rather than running dogs.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I am the owner/operator of My Dog’s Mobile Gym. I pull up to the client’s home, much like a mobile groomer, and exercise dogs on non-motorized slatmills for 30 minute sessions right there in their own driveway. Clients commend me most for my patience and understanding with their dog when starting out. After that, the dogs show me just how much I mean to them when they come running with excitement every time I pull up. I’d have to say that is what makes me the most proud.

Alright so before we go can you talk to us a bit about how people can work with you, collaborate with you or support you?
Anyone interested in running with us can call/text at (239) 248-3554 or email mydogsmobilegym@yahoo.com to schedule an Introductory session.
I have had amazing support from my family, I cannot thank them enough. I also have wonderful collaborations with Patty Baker Humane Society and a few incredible vendors that actually run dogs with me. Naples Paws & Pearls and Brandi’s Pup Shop are two local businesses that we collaborate with often.
I have also partnered with Grrubpet in CA promoting Rally, a great supplement for dogs to help them with recovery after a hard workout, and with Fi Collars, providing GPS services to keep dogs safe at home.
We always welcome sponsorships for shelter dogs. People can reach out to us via call, text or email to find out how to join our Sponsor a Shelter Dog program.
