Today we’d like to introduce you to Dele Rockson.
Hi Dele, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstories.
Started off with Dele Rockson Media on the side during my sophomore year in college in 2010. When I graduated college in 2012, I was a news reporter for a local ABC news station in Virginia. While I enjoyed working at the news station, I quickly realized I’d much rather be behind the lens of telling people’s stories. Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of working with brands/people like Mary Kay, Animal Planet, JJ Virgin, Super Bowl promo videos, and many more. I possess over 12 years of progressive experience in filming and editing high-quality videos as well as photography. There’s nothing better than telling a story through a lens.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It hasn’t always been a smooth road but the mindset is everything. When one obstacle comes your way, you keep pushing until you get through. I’ve had times when I didn’t have clients for months. It’s either budget wasn’t in their books or they couldn’t commit to actually booking. Nevertheless, I kept on hustling. There is always work available.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I specialize in commercial-looking shoots. (Videography & Photography). I would say I’m known for delivering a cinematic piece that always leaves the client feeling happy.
I’m known for wedding videos but I sometimes have to tell people I shoot more than just wedding videos lol. I am most proud of a piece I put together for the Super Bowl in 2021. Here’s the link https://vimeo.com/669615456. I would say what sets me apart from others is how much detail I put in my videos and how fast I get them back to the clients
What do you like and dislike about the city?
I love the weather!! And….. I also dislike how HOT it gets.
