Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
My path has never been linear, but looking back, every season has shaped the work I do today. I started as a singer-songwriter with a deep love for music, storytelling, and live performance, but for a long time I was also balancing family, education, business, and the practical realities of life. I have a background in biology and an MBA in Healthcare Administration, and I spent years in professional roles where I learned operations, strategy, leadership, and how people move through systems.
Eventually, I realized that the thread connecting everything I cared about was helping people become more aligned with who they are and what they are here to create. That realization led me back to music in a deeper way and also became the foundation for Manifested, LLC (livemanifested.com).
Manifested is an ecosystem that supports independent artists, creatives, and small business owners through entertainment, creative business development, and community-centered opportunities. Under that umbrella, I perform and release music as Christin Alynn (christinalynnmusic.com), support artists through Almost Famous Artists (AFArtists.com), and lead women-centered music initiatives through LadyLike (joinladylike.com). Each piece is connected by the same mission: to help creative people build something meaningful, sustainable, and true to who they are.
Where I am today is the result of learning to trust the pieces of my story that once felt scattered. I am an artist, founder, mentor, mother, and community builder, and I am using all of those experiences to create spaces where independent artists and small businesses can be seen, supported, and empowered to grow.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It has definitely not been a smooth road, but I think that is part of what gives the work meaning.
One of the biggest struggles has been learning how to build a creative life while also carrying very real responsibilities. I am a mother, a wife, an artist, and a business owner, and there have been many seasons where I had to keep creating while also navigating family needs, financial pressure, self-doubt, and the uncertainty that comes with entrepreneurship.
As an independent artist, there is also the challenge of trying to be both the creative person and the business person. You are writing the songs, booking the shows, managing the marketing, building the relationships, and trying to understand how to turn your work into something sustainable. That can be overwhelming, especially when you are doing it without the traditional industry support system.
Those struggles are a big part of why I created Manifested and Almost Famous Artists. I know what it feels like to have talent, vision, and purpose, but still need structure, clarity, support, and community. The harder seasons taught me that alignment matters. You can be working very hard and still feel scattered if your art, audience, business, and values are not connected.
So while the road has not been easy, it has been clarifying. The obstacles helped me understand not only who I am as an artist, but also what kind of support other creatives and small business owners truly need.

As Christin Alynn, I am a singer-songwriter and live performer creating what I often describe as contemporary soulfolk — music rooted in honesty, resilience, connection, and the human experience. I write songs about becoming, healing, relationships, self-trust, and the moments in life that ask us to look deeper.
Through Manifested, LLC, I support independent artists, creatives, and small business owners as they clarify who they are, what they offer, who they serve, and how to build something more aligned and sustainable. My work includes artist development, creative business strategy, event development, entertainment booking, and community-centered programming.
I am also the founder of Almost Famous Artists, which helps independent artists move from feeling scattered or overlooked into a clearer sense of identity, direction, audience, and opportunity. Through LadyLike, I help create more visibility and stage opportunities for women in music across the country. More specifically, I run the Tampa Bay chapter, which has grown to support 52 local female singer-songwriters.
One of the things I am most passionate about right now is creating more meaningful live performance opportunities in Tampa Bay and beyond. I have seen a real discrepancy in many local lineups when it comes to female representation, and I want to be part of changing that. LadyLike showcases are one way we are doing this by creating intentional stages for women in music, with our next Tampa Bay showcase scheduled for August 8th, with tickets available online. I am also preparing for an upcoming Soulfolk Tour, which will include performances, collaboration, and community impact through support for local charities, including the Children’s Dream Fund. (https://childrensdreamfund.org) For me, live music is not just entertainment. It is a way to bring people together, create visibility, and support causes and communities that matter.
I think what I am most known for is seeing the bigger picture. I can sit with an artist, business owner, venue, or creative idea and help identify the thread that connects the story, the audience, the offer, and the experience. I care about the art, but I also care about the structure that allows the art to survive.
What I am most proud of is building work that comes from lived experience. I did not create these platforms because I had everything figured out. I created them because I knew what it felt like to have vision without enough clarity, talent without enough support, and purpose without a clear path. Now I use those lessons to help others find their own alignment, build confidence, and create opportunities that feel true to who they are.
What sets me apart is that I do not separate the creative person from the business strategy. I believe the most sustainable growth happens when the artist, the work, the audience, and the opportunity are all connected. I want to help artists and venues work together in more professional, mutually beneficial ways — increasing revenue, improving the quality of live music experiences, and creating more sustainable opportunities for performers in the Tampa Bay area. That is the heart of everything I am building.
Is there something surprising that you feel even people who know you might not know about?
Something that may surprise people is that before I stepped more fully into music and creative entrepreneurship, I studied biology and later earned an MBA in Healthcare Administration. So while people may know me as a singer-songwriter, performer, and creative mentor, there is also a very analytical, systems-oriented side of me.
I have always been fascinated by how things connect — how the body works, how people make decisions, how communities form, how businesses grow, and how creativity moves through a person’s life. That way of thinking shows up in almost everything I do now.
When I work with artists or small business owners, I am not only listening to their story or their creative vision. I am also looking for the patterns, the disconnects, the missing structure, and the opportunities for alignment. I think that mix of creativity, intuition, and strategy is a big part of what makes my work unique.
So while my work may look very creative from the outside, underneath it is a deep love for systems, human behavior, and helping people connect the pieces of who they are into something that can actually grow.
