Today we’d like to introduce you to Ashley Rodriguez.
Hi Ashley, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
From a young age, I knew art was my passion. Winning 3rd place in a county-wide competition in 7th grade confirmed it for me, but my creativity extended far beyond painting—I loved finding new ways to express myself artistically. Though I spent seven years as a vet tech, a career I was passionate about, the long hours, low pay, and toxic work environment left me unfulfilled. In 2021, I took a leap of faith, trusting in the Lord, and left my job to pursue nail school with the little savings I had. I dedicated myself to learning every detail, and in February 2022, my hard work paid off when I won 1st place in our class nail competition and earned my nail technician license. From there, I jumped straight into working at a salon, where I met incredible nail techs who guided me in navigating entrepreneurship. Through it all, God’s favor has been evident, leading me to grow my skills and build a career doing what I truly love.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It definitely wasn’t a smooth road. Depending on an income that wasn’t guaranteed was one of the hardest parts, especially as a mom of three. There were weeks when I made a thousand dollars, which was amazing, and then there were weeks when I barely made a hundred, leaving me wondering how I would even pay my salon rent. It was stressful and unpredictable, but through it all, God’s favor has never left me. His grace has carried me through every challenge, and looking back, I can see how He provided in ways I never expected. I’m truly grateful for His unending faithfulness in my journey as an entrepreneur.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I’m a nail technician and artist, and I specialize in hand-painted nail art. I never turn down a challenge when it comes to design—if a client wants something intricate or unique, I find a way to bring it to life. If I don’t have the tools or decals needed, I’ll make them myself by hand. What truly sets me apart, though, is that my business is faith-based. My goal is not just to create beautiful nails but to create an atmosphere where clients can feel peace, joy, and even God’s presence. I take pride in the fact that my work is more than just a service—it’s a creative expression of my faith and a way to bless others. Seeing my clients’ reactions when they see their nails, especially when I’ve brought a meaningful design to life, is one of the things I’m most proud of.

There are so many ways to collaborate with me! Brands and businesses looking for a nail artist to showcase their products—whether it’s gel polishes, nail art tools, or accessories—can reach out for content creation, reviews, and tutorials. I also love collaborating with faith-based businesses to merge beauty and ministry in unique ways.
