Conversations with Amber Summerz

Today we’d like to introduce you to Amber Summerz.

Hi Amber, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I’m Amber Summerz — a storyteller, a survivor, and a woman on a mission to turn pain into purpose. My journey hasn’t been a straight line, but every twist has led me to where I’m meant to be: helping others find their voice and power through mindset coaching and digital strategy.

I started in marketing over a decade ago, working behind the scenes to help brands grow online. But while I was building success on the surface, behind the scenes I was surviving trauma — including the tragic loss of my mother in 2020 to a murder-suicide that shook my entire world. That moment broke me open. And from that space, I realized it was time to stop hiding and start healing — not just for myself, but for others walking through fire.

That’s when I launched Summerz Truthz — my podcast, platform, and coaching movement for women ready to reclaim their truth and step into self-mastery. I built my own framework, SUMMERZ, which stands for Strength, Understanding, Mindfulness, Motivation, Enlightenment, Recovery, and Zenith — and I now use that to guide women from survival to unstoppable.

Through coaching and content creation, I’ve combined everything I know — marketing, mindset, and messaging — to help women and entrepreneurs grow their impact with purpose. Whether I’m coaching someone through a mindset block or building a brand funnel, it all comes back to one thing: truth-telling and transformation.

You can find my work at ambersummerz.com — and if you’re ready to rise, I’ve got you.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Definitely not a smooth road — and honestly, I wouldn’t want it to be. The bumps, the losses, the betrayals, the burnout… that’s where the real growth happened. I’ve faced personal trauma, financial struggle, self-doubt, and seasons where I had to start from scratch — again and again.

One of the biggest challenges was navigating life after my mother’s death. It wasn’t just grief — it was the kind of pain that forces you to either shut down or show up. I chose to show up, but that didn’t mean it was easy. I had to keep working, keep parenting, keep building — all while healing from something unspeakable. That season taught me how to hold both strength and softness at the same time.

Professionally, stepping into entrepreneurship while also being the sole provider for my family came with pressure most people don’t talk about. There were times I felt invisible, especially as a woman of color trying to break into spaces that weren’t built for me. But those moments sharpened me. They forced me to create my own lane.

Now, I coach from that place — not as someone who had it all figured out, but as someone who’s walked through the fire and built something real. Every obstacle became part of my message. And that’s why I believe so deeply in helping others own their story, too.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I help people stop playing small — in life and in business. Through my coaching platform Summerz Truthz and my work in digital marketing, I empower women and entrepreneurs to own their story, grow with strategy, and lead with purpose.

I specialize in mindset coaching, personal brand building, and results-driven marketing — but what sets me apart is that I blend healing with hustle. I don’t just hand you a business strategy — I help you become the kind of person who can confidently execute it.

What I’m most proud of? Turning my personal pain into a movement that changes lives. I built my SUMMERZ framework to guide women from surviving to thriving — and watching my clients reclaim their power, grow their businesses, and finally be seen… that’s everything.

This isn’t surface-level. It’s soul-deep success. That’s the Summerz way.

Where we are in life is often partly because of others. Who/what else deserves credit for how your story turned out?
Absolutely — I wouldn’t be here without my people.

First and foremost, my husband Eric Summerz has been my anchor through it all. He’s believed in my vision even when I doubted it, held it down when I needed to rebuild, and walked beside me through every high and low. My kids are my daily motivation — they’ve seen the grind, the tears, and the breakthroughs, and they’re the reason I go so hard.

I’ve also been blessed with a circle of real ones — close friends who prayed for me, reminded me of who I am, and never let me settle. And even though they’re not here physically, my mom and grandmother have been with me every step of the way. I feel them cheering me on from heaven, and their strength runs through everything I do.

Behind every strong woman is a tribe — seen and unseen — and I’m grateful for every soul who poured into me when I needed it most.
