Community Highlights: Meet Renata Ankcroum of LashMaverick Essentials | LME Wellness Juice Headz

Today we’d like to introduce you to Renata Ankcroum.

Hi Renata, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I started LashMaverick Essentials in May 2020 with a simple goal: to provide affordable, quality beauty products while creating something meaningful that I could build for my family. What began as a beauty business has grown into a brand centered around helping people look good, feel good, and take better care of themselves from the inside out.

Over the years, I’ve expanded from lashes and beauty essentials into professional haircare, raw Cambodian human hair, styling products, and my She Got It Laid™ Red Onion Growth Collection. As I listened to my customers and continued my own journey toward healthier living, I realized beauty and wellness really go hand in hand. That led me to create LME Wellness | Juice Headz, offering fresh juices, herbal teas, wellness shots, and wildcrafted sea moss.

One of the biggest parts of my story is that I’ve built this business while also being a wife, mother, and full-time professional. There have been plenty of challenges, learning curves, and moments when I’ve had to figure things out as I went, but each season has helped me become a stronger business owner.

Today, LashMaverick Essentials has grown beyond where I originally imagined it. I’m building multiple divisions under one vision, developing new products, participating in community events and pop-ups, forming local partnerships, and continuing to create opportunities for growth.

My goal has never been just to sell products. I want to build a recognizable, trusted brand that makes quality beauty and wellness accessible while creating something my children can see, learn from, and hopefully one day build upon.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It definitely has not always been a smooth road. One of my biggest challenges has been building and growing a business while also being a wife, mother, and working a full-time career. There have been many seasons where I’ve had to build my business early in the morning, late at night, on weekends, and in between family responsibilities.

Another challenge has been learning the business side of entrepreneurship as I grew. I didn’t start out knowing everything about sourcing, importing, product development, marketing, regulations, branding, inventory management, or pricing. A lot of what I know today came from research, trial and error, asking questions, making mistakes, and being willing to learn.

Funding growth has also required me to be very intentional. As a self-funded small business, I’ve had to learn how to start with what I have, reinvest profits, test products before making larger investments, and make decisions that allow the business to grow sustainably without trying to do everything at once.

There have also been times when an idea, product, event, or marketing strategy didn’t perform the way I expected. Entrepreneurship taught me not to automatically view those moments as failures. I learned to look at the numbers, listen to my customers, make adjustments, and try again.

As you know, we’re big fans of LashMaverick Essentials | LME Wellness Juice Headz. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
LashMaverick Essentials™ is a woman- and minority-owned beauty and wellness company I founded in 2020 with the belief that quality products shouldn’t have to come with an unaffordable price tag. What started in beauty has evolved into a growing lifestyle brand focused on helping our customers look good, feel good, and care for themselves from the inside out.

On the beauty side, we specialize in haircare, styling essentials, lashes, and premium raw Cambodian human hair. One of the collections I’m especially proud of is our She Got It Laid™ Red Onion Growth Collection, which includes products designed to support a healthy haircare routine from cleansing and conditioning to moisturizing and maintaining the scalp and hair. We also offer professional styling products and premium, double-drawn raw Cambodian hair for customers and beauty professionals who value quality and longevity.

As the brand evolved, I expanded into wellness through LME Wellness | Juice Headz. Juice Headz offers fresh juices, herbal teas, wellness shots, and wildcrafted sea moss products designed to make incorporating wellness into everyday life more approachable. Our motto, “A Healthy Friend is a Happy Friend,” represents the community aspect of the brand—when we discover something that can help us live better, we want to share it with others.

What sets LashMaverick Essentials apart is that I don’t want to simply put products on a shelf. Education is a major part of our brand. I want customers to understand what they’re purchasing, how to use it, why certain ingredients are included, and how those products can become part of a consistent beauty or wellness routine.

I’m also extremely intentional about listening to my customers. Many of our ideas, improvements, and expansions have come from paying attention to what people actually need rather than simply following trends.

Brand-wise, I’m most proud of the fact that LME continues to evolve without losing its original purpose. We’ve expanded into different categories, developed signature collections, built community partnerships, participated in local events and pop-ups, and created opportunities to connect directly with the people we serve.

Ultimately, I want people to know that LashMaverick Essentials is bigger than any single product. I’m building an ecosystem around beauty, hair, wellness, education, and community while remaining committed to affordability and quality.

Our slogan is “Experience the DIFFERENCE with LME™,” and that difference is exactly what I want customers to feel—not only in our products, but in the care, education, and intention behind the entire brand.

For me, the goal isn’t simply to make another sale. It’s to build a brand people trust, remember, recommend, and grow with.

Alright, so to wrap up, is there anything else you’d like to share with us?
One thing I would love for readers to know is that behind LashMaverick Essentials™ is a real person building a dream in real time. I’m a wife, a mother, a full-time professional, and an entrepreneur. I don’t have unlimited resources, unlimited time, or all the answers. What I do have is faith, determination, a willingness to learn, and a genuine desire to create something meaningful.

Start with what you have. Learn as you go. Be willing to pivot. Listen to the people you serve. Don’t be afraid to start small, because small beginnings can grow into something much bigger than you originally imagined.

I’m also very intentional about what my children see through this journey. I want them to understand that entrepreneurship isn’t simply about making money. It’s about ownership, creativity, discipline, serving others, solving problems, and having the courage to build something of your own. If LashMaverick Essentials becomes part of the legacy I leave them, I want that legacy to include those lessons—not just the business itself.

And as LME continues to grow, I want to remain connected to my community. Whether someone purchases a hair product, tries Juice Headz for the first time, meets us at a pop-up, learns something from our educational content, or simply becomes inspired to start pursuing their own idea, I want every interaction with this brand to have value.

Six years into this journey, I’m proud of what I’ve built, but I’m even more excited about what I’m still building. LashMaverick Essentials isn’t the finished story. We’re still writing it.

And if my journey encourages even one person to finally start writing theirs, that would mean something to me too.
