Community Highlights: Meet Jennifer Kida of Love + Light Studio

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jennifer Kida.

Hi Jennifer, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Love + Light Studio began as the first-of-its-kind creative space in SWFL, opening its doors in early 2022. It was designed to bring the community together; a place where people could create, capture, and celebrate all of life’s milestones in a beautiful, private setting.

My family and I were first admirers and frequent users of the studio. We fell in love with its purpose, its potential, and the endless possibilities it offered to photographers, creatives, families, and anyone looking to freeze time or capture a moment. In December 2024, we were given the incredible opportunity to take over ownership, and it felt like a natural extension of our passion for people, creativity, and community.

This year, we’ve focused on deepening that mission by partnering more with our community by creating opportunities for others to learn, build their portfolios, and give back through collaborative events, creative experiences, and give back opportunities such as our first-ever Toy Drive. We’re honored to continue growing Love + Light Studio as a space where creativity thrives, connections are built, and every moment is worth celebrating.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Like any new endeavor, it’s come with its challenges. Finding inspiration and designing the space has always come naturally and been such a joyful part of the journey. I’m thankful to have my husband, who understands more of the business side of things, but there have definitely been some learning curves along the way.

The biggest bump and ultimately one of the greatest learning opportunities has been marketing. It was something completely new to me, and I spent a lot of time researching, taking courses, and experimenting to find what worked best for our audience. It’s still an area where we’re continuing to grow, but every challenge has pushed us to learn, adapt, and become stronger as a small, family-run business.

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Love + Light Studio is a private, modern-meets-classic creative space in Cape Coral, Florida, designed for the community to create, capture, and celebrate life’s milestones. We offer an inviting and versatile studio for photographers, families, and creatives of all kinds, with flexible rental options ranging from 30 minutes to full-day bookings.

What sets Love + Light Studio apart is our commitment to being more than just a space; we’re a community hub for creativity, connection, and celebration. We provide fully styled seasonal sets as well as a blank canvas for those looking to bring their own vision to life. The studio offers a variety of props, seating options, and décor pieces to help bring any creative idea to life, and guests are always welcome to bring in their own items to make each session uniquely theirs. Whether it’s a maternity session, branding shoot, workshop, or intimate event, every detail is designed to make guests feel inspired and supported.

We’re most proud of how our brand has evolved into something deeply rooted in collaboration. This year, we’ve expanded our focus to include partnerships with local photographers, creators, and small businesses, offering opportunities to learn, build portfolios, and give back.

At its heart, Love + Light Studio is built on the belief that everyone deserves a beautiful space to tell their story. Our mission will always be to make creativity accessible, celebrate life’s milestones, and shine a little more light into our community.

Is there a quality that you most attribute to your success?
I believe the most important quality behind Love + Light Studio’s success is authentic connection. From the beginning, this business has been about more than just providing a space. It’s about building relationships, supporting local creatives, and creating an environment where everyone feels welcome and inspired.

Being genuine and community-focused has guided every decision we make, from the way we design our sets to how we collaborate with others. I also think adaptability plays a huge role; being open to learning, growing, and evolving alongside our clients has allowed us to stay creative and continue meeting the needs of our community.

At the end of the day, success for me isn’t measured just in bookings, but in the connections we make and the joy people feel when they walk into the studio. That’s what keeps the “love” and “light” in everything we do.
