Today we’d like to introduce you to Chris Adams.
Hi Chris, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstories.
I was lucky enough to start my career with The Ritz-Carlton Orlando, Grande Lakes surrounded by some of the best in the business.
Taking full advantage of that opportunity to learn and grow, was able to work myself up the ladder within the organization before walking away to launch my own brand.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The old saying, “nothing worth having is easy”, couldn’t be more true in this case.
Something that came as part of the growth process for me was understanding and embracing that failing does NOT make you a failure, it is simply part of the process.
It is very difficult to truly talk to others about success if you have never failed.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Ellis Adams Group was formed on the foundation of “lifestyle” being a mindset that had nothing to do with economics. Lifestyle is a 360-degree expression of how you live your life.
Ellis Adams Group creates unparalleled custom experiences with the art of storytelling that encourage curiosity, adventure, and knowledge through fashion, travel, hospitality, art, and design.
From conceptualizing and full interior design of a space, to branding and activating the operations of that space, EAG truly lives the 360-degree experience.
We focus on details telling your story, with the ultimate goal of creating a “feeling” for your guests, which we believe is exactly what “luxury” is a feeling.
Before we let you go, we’ve got to ask if you have any advice for those who are just starting out?
Embrace the journey and keep perspective. One of the most challenging aspects of life, in general, is having the right perspective. If you can learn that principle in building your brand it will help you tremendously.
Also know, that the team you build and who you surround yourself with will shape the trajectory of your brand. For me, truly embracing what “leadership” means was important in our brand’s growth.
Focusing on casting a clear vision, establishing a brand culture they believed in, and maximizing my team to their fullest potential was paramount.
