Today we’d like to introduce you to Angela DiLeone.
Hi Angela , please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Beauty school graduated in 1988 just right out of high school. I love what I do and I love everything and anything Beauty and positivity.
It was actually my aunt dolores that was handicapped that introduced me to the beauty world by showing me how to pluck her eyebrows when she would babysit me.
I was eight years old ever since then I had a love for Beauty. Then that went to Doing my friends Hair And Makeup in my bedroom before dances and talking about someday owning my own salon.
Right out of high school I decided to go to Beauty school and I took every course I could get my hands on including learning how to cut hair from a very prestigious program by Vidal Sassoon in Paris.
I open my first salon in 1996 after working for a few small studios in the
Greensburg, Pennsylvania area.
While raising my two beautiful children, I was chasing anything and everything Beauty while serving the most amazing clientele.
Shortly after I opened my first spa in my hometown..I went to tons of trainings won awards got editorial credits and got all type of certifications and got my trichology certification. Hair thinning and hair has always been a challenge in the salon, and I wanted to know everything about it.
In 2014 I needed to change and I was recruited by Home Shopping Network Hsn to work on television doing Hair And Makeup for movie stars and inventors
I moved to tampa from Pittsburgh pa.
I really thought that was gonna be my thing but it ended up showing me that I really just love being behind the chair. Since the.
I then premiered on season 11 of Bridezilla show.
I have did several movies. But
The one thing I missed was being in a salon.
I created VIP Beauty and we ended up being one of the best Wedding and Event mobile artistry companies in all of Tampa Bay a few years after Covid I decided to stop doing as much mobile services
Even though Mobile appointments are still a part of my life and many people still want their services done in the privacy of their own home being in a studio a few days a week has been amazing..
Most hairdressers only specialize in one or two things, but I honestly love everything and I feel like I can specialize in all of it because of doing it for so long. I do the most amazing facials. I do barbering for men and I also excel at Hair Color and Cuts Wedding and Event Hair And Makup. I also had the opportunity to teach for 5 years Makeup artistry for 30,000 Makeup Artist a year at Premiere Orlando Show.
I still have 15 artists that freelance for me for wedding and events and I recently added Heads Spa services to our Tampa studio..
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
The biggest obstacles in challenges were trying to set your self aside from 100,000 other artist in your area. Social media has made that very easy nowadays.
Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about VIP Beauty ?
We specialize in all Beauty services in the studio, and our mobile sector of our business is all a venture and make up styling on location. I’d like to think that what sets me apart from others is that I listen, even though we have the greatest skills to offer everyone we need to listen to what people want and then educate them on why or why not Should or should not do it.
Everybody comes in with an Instagram photo of what they perceived to see their vision for their hair or makeup. These are basically not real images. They are very edited and it makes peoples perspective very high.
But in real life, I try to teach my clients while I am doing their services and I think that sets me aside from a lot of artist. I also created my own healthy strengthening hair products during Covid because everything on my counter in front of my station was from overseas and nothing in it created healthy hair. I started researching and found a chemist, and we formulated.

I named each product and Affirmations because we were in such a bad time of uncertainty with Covid so I am bold. I am strong. I am healthy or a few of my product names. All my products are made in the USA. I know every ingredient going into them and all of the ingredients are to create healthy, strong hair with 11 amino and 13 botanicals And tons of biotin.
We have been selling strictly from our website across the country and doing very well and growing.
What makes you happy?
What makes me happy? People I love people I love servicing people I love making people happy. I don’t wanna say I’m a people pleaser, but I definitely know how to handle all types of people. I am a servant of God he blessed my hands to create and show people their beauty inside. There’s nothing more amazing than seeing someone. Smile when you’re done with her hair or tell you thank you that they love it.
One of the special things that I do is go to people’s homes that are homebound hospice or just can’t leave the house and offer them their services. Not everybody has the heart for this. It takes a special person. I have that heart so that lays very near and dear to me and will always be offered.
