Check Out Tricia Clark’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tricia Clark.

Hi Tricia, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I am the President of the Diamonds on the Green, FL Chapter. I am originally from Colorado Springs, CO., and currently reside in Tampa, FL. I am an Executive Assistant for PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) within the Advisory, Cybersecurity, and Assurance LOS. I also serve on the PwC Black Inclusion Network Board and the PwC Golf Committee.

I am an Avid Lover of the game of golf from which I picked up playing three years ago. In my past Human Resources lifetime, I would help to coordinate all of the company’s charity golf tournaments and I simply just could not understand how I could help to raise all this money for the different charitable causes and not know the game of golf… So that was the beginning of my golf addiction, I had to learn. My passion is to help as many charitable causes and organizations that I possibly can and plans to attract as many women and young girls into this amazing game that we love!

I am also one of the Co-hosts to the newly premiered Golf Podcast called “The Golf Locker Room” this is where I and co-hosts Manny Upshaw and Chris Sifford get to speak on the upcoming events, swings, rules, health, nutrition, and more… simply all things golf.

I am the proud mom of three, I have one daughter who serves in the U.S. Navy and my two sons… I am counting down, I have just three more years until a fully empty nest and golf travel.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
I would say it has been a smooth road overall, but if you are going to learn how to play golf, try to seek professional instruction. My struggle is that I am self-taught and now that I have plateaued in my game, I cannot seem to get to shooting in my low 80s consistent. Even still, I don’t want to get an instructor because I feel they will make my game even worse.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I work for PricewaterhouseCoopers supporting the Partners and Client Engagements within Cybersecurity, Advisory, and Assurance lines of service.

PwC is a multinational professional services network of firms, operating as partnerships under the PwC brand. PwC ranks as the second-largest professional services network in the world and is considered one of the Big Four accounting firms, along with Deloitte, EY, and KPMG.

I absolutely love the firm’s initiatives on Diversity and Inclusion… This is my 2nd year serving on the Tampa Black Inclusion Network Board… we inform, support, develop and have those candid conversations needed to help all to understand and cope in the current racial climate.

I also serve on the PwC Golf Committee… we typically hold an annual golf tournament at Carrollwood Country Club that is always a huge success… we’re hoping to do something this year. Covid allowing- we will. I truly enjoy being able to work at an amazing firm and do the things that I love and have a passion for!

Where do you see things going in the next 5-10 years?
Change is always good and forever happening… I truly believe things are evolving in a positive way! In 5 -10 years, I see the game of golf, on all levels truly becoming more diverse. I also see the Diamonds on the Green chapters successfully driving to get more women and girls into learning the game of golf that we all love… in each and every state in the U.S.
