Check Out Kyle Myers’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kyle Myers.

Hi Kyle , please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Smash It is a family-owned entertainment center built on the idea that breaking things can actually be good for you. We created Smash It to offer the community a healthy, creative, and exciting outlet. Smash It is more than just an entertainment center, it’s a place where people of all ages and backgrounds can release stress in a safe, creative, and fun way. We (owners Jason and Kyle) started Smash It after seeing a real need in the community for healthy outlets to deal with trauma, stress, and everyday struggles. With over a decade of experience in case management, Kyle witnessed firsthand how people from all demographics needed ways to cope and work through life’s challenges. That insight inspired the duo to create an experience that blends wellbeing with unforgettable fun.

We both grew up in this community, and as it continues to grow with young families, we wanted to provide another unique entertainment option that brings people together. From rage rooms to paint splatter sessions, Smash It gives families, friends, and teams a space to laugh, let go, and make lasting memories. Whether it’s a birthday party, team-building event, or just a chance to let loose, the goal was simple: give people a place to laugh, connect, make memories and hopefully leave feeling lighter.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Like any new business, it hasn’t been a completely smooth road. One of the biggest struggles is learning the ins and outs of marketing… especially a brand-new concept in our area. Smash It is unique, but that also meant people didn’t always understand what we offered at first. We had to figure out how to clearly share our story, educate the community, and build excitement while staying within the budget of a new small business. A lot of it has been trial and error this past year learning what works on social media, for our customers and how to connect with families, and how to position ourselves as both fun entertainment and a go to for mental wellness.

Every time we see families laughing together, couples bonding or someone walking out lighter than when they walked in, it reminds us why we do it!

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
We each bring different strengths that we have mastered through our career paths. Jason comes from a background in management and HR, where he’s spent his career as a mentor, coach, and leader. He’s a true people person and has a natural ability to connect with others, build strong teams, and create a welcoming environment for guests and staff.
As for myself, my background is in social services, with over a decade in case management. Through that work, it was clear to me that no matter who you are or where you came from, our mental wellbeing was key to how we move through life. Healthy outlets for dealing with stress, trauma, and the heavy stuff are important and should be accessible regardless of insurance. That passion for helping people is what drives the mission behind Smash It. creating a safe, fun, and creative outlet where anyone can come to let go and feel better.

Together, we’re most proud of building something that blends both of our strengths! Jason’s ability to connect with people and my passion for helping them. What sets us apart is that Smash It isn’t just about entertainment; it’s about creating meaningful experiences that help people leave feeling lighter, happier, and more connected.

So maybe we end on discussing what matters most to you and why?
What matters most to us is our family. They’re at the heart of everything we do, both in life and in business. We want to raise our kids with strong values and to be good humans by teaching them not only the importance of respect, hard work, and kindness, but also that true strength isn’t just physical, it’s emotional too. We want them to never be afraid to follow their hearts, work hard, and do what they believe in. Success isn’t just about running a business it’s about setting an example. If they can see through our actions that it’s possible to work hard, give back, and treat people with respect, then we know we’re doing something right.
