Today we’d like to introduce you to Kasey Claytor.
Hi Kasey, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
Long ago a friend had gifted me a crystal and explained that it could make a huge difference in my life. Over the course of the night and coming week it did.
I could feel the difference it made and I decided to delve into reading about crystal energy and how it is all around us. Everything on this earth has an auric field, we are resonating with every energy in this universe.
As I went further into it, I began to incorporate different crystals into my daily life. I wouldn’t read about them first; I would feel out what called to me, work with it for a bit, then read on the properties. That’s when I knew it was truly a path I would follow.
This is when I started Kasey’s Keepsakes. I wanted to make a difference in other people’s lives. To show them how to feel crystal energy and use them as beneficial tools. I am doing this by creating pieces you can wear and use in your home or office.
I believe as people, we have the ability to feel intense energies and are guided by this. One crystal at a time, I can help others to see and feel the impact they can make. That is why I started my small business and continue to grow and expand my knowledge of crystal energy.
I love what I do and getting to meet new people every day while sharing my gifts and love of crystals with them. One of the best parts are the returning customers who support me endlessly and help me grow with them. Also, the many other vendors that I get to work around sharing the same like-minded goals, ambitions and creativity.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
Just a couple of challenges along the way…
At the beginning of my adventure it was tough, I was nervous putting myself out there. I was adamant about sharing what I had to offer but I didn’t know how to do it. Also I didn’t know how to display my items or how much inventory I would need. I was nervous about sharing what I made not knowing if people would receive the meanings behind the keepsakes. Not to mention inclement weather of Florida. I am not tech-savvy by any means and that was a huge challenge for me to represent my brand and with navigating social media. It was a lot of unknown factors starting out. It’s been trial and error at every corner.
The more I put myself out there and grow my business the better it gets. I’ve learned how to display my items in an appeasing way. How much inventory to bring with me. To prepare for any and all weather that can come upon us at any given time. How to interact with people about crystals and the many ways they can help you heal. I’ve also learned how to interact on social media just a little bit more, always improving.
So overall no not smooth but getting smoother every day. Enjoying every challenge or obstacle that gets put in my way.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I hand make crystal wire-wrapped jewelry. Yes, many people do but I let you choose which crystal, stone or fossil calls to you then do a custom piece. I’ll even make them while you continue to shop the market and grab something to eat.
I also make natural stone bracelets one’s that will amplify the energies of the other crystals that are with them. I also do a meditation with each one while I make them to infuse them with love and abundance.
The most unique items I make are my Zodiac gem trees. These are based off of your sun sign, rising sign or moon, which ever you feel more in tune with. I researched all of the crystals for each sign and chose the ones that I felt could help that sign’s personality the most and crystals that resonate well with each other. These are represented in the leaves of the trees and can enhance or calm some of your signs traits.
I also hand pick each individual stone that I put out into my shop and on my website. I choose quality stones that I know my customers will love and appreciate.
We’d be interested to hear your thoughts on luck and what role, if any, you feel it’s played for you?
I believe my luck is all from intention, manifestation and the universal plan. I have however been lucky to find my true path in life and be able to pursue dreams. Sometimes there are setbacks I have to go through in order to grow and learn. Sometimes I have days that come with many blessings. It’s all a journey and I’ll take the good or bad luck any day.
