Hi Julie, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Three years ago, what is now known as Strappato began as a spark—a passion shared by two young women in the Perez family who believed in the power of beauty, confidence, and self-care.
It all started with our youngest daughter, whose love for makeup and glam emerged at an early age. She wasn’t just playing with palettes—she was transforming everyone she encountered with her creativity and eye for beauty. Whether it was family, friends, or anyone who sat in her chair, she made it her mission to make people feel beautiful.
Then came 2022, and with it, a new chapter. Our oldest daughter stepped into her calling—not just to enhance outer beauty, but to help others heal and feel whole again. She took her passion across borders, studying post-operative care abroad under one of the most respected professionals in the field. Her heart for wellness and recovery added a deeper layer to the family’s growing vision.
By 2023, the Perez family decided to join forces and officially launch what was then called Strappato Bodies of Florida. United by a dream and driven by purpose, they created a brand dedicated to holistic beauty and wellness. Soon after, the name evolved into Strappato Body & Beauty—a reflection of the all-encompassing services and values they brought to their community.
Today, the Strappato brand has grown from a humble dream into an empowering empire. With a full range of offerings—from beauty treatments and skincare to wellness services, post-op care, surgical aftercare garments, and more—Strappato stands for transformation inside and out.
Our latest expansion, Strappato Suites, is a bold step forward. These luxury suites provide a high-end space for entrepreneurs and creatives to build, thrive, and become their own boss. It’s more than just real estate—it’s a movement built on belief, support, and the drive to dream bigger.
Strappato is no longer just a brand. It’s a family legacy, a thriving business, and a growing community—all born from two sisters’ love for beauty and one family’s unshakable vision.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It has definitely not been a smooth road. My journey has been filled with beautiful moments, but also some of the toughest seasons of my life. Building multiple businesses while raising a family required sacrifice, long nights, and learning to balance being a wife, mother, entrepreneur, and leader—all at the same time.
There were challenges, moments of starting over, and times when I had to rebuild what I thought was already established. I’ve experienced heartbreak, betrayal, and setbacks that forced me to grow both personally and professionally. Most recently, I went through a traumatic, life-altering health experience that truly changed my perspective on everything. It reminded me how fragile life is—and how important purpose, faith, and family really are.
But every obstacle strengthened me. Every challenge pushed me closer to my purpose. I believe God used those hard moments to shape my character, deepen my faith, and prepare me for the platforms I’m walking into today. My story isn’t perfect, and the road has definitely not been easy, but I’m grateful for it. The struggles didn’t stop me—they refined me.

Networking and finding a mentor can have such a positive impact on one’s life and career. Any advice?
My biggest advice for finding a mentor or building a strong network is to be intentional, humble, and willing to serve. The right connections don’t usually happen by accident—they happen when you show up consistently, stay true to your purpose, and position yourself in the right rooms.
When it comes to mentors, look for people who are not just successful, but whose values align with yours. A mentor should challenge you, hold you accountable, and help you grow—not just cosign everything you do. And don’t be afraid to reach out to people you admire. A lot of powerful relationships started because someone simply asked, ‘Can I learn from you?’
Networking has worked for me because I lead with authenticity. I don’t walk into rooms trying to ‘sell’ myself—I walk in ready to build relationships. I’ve learned that people remember how you make them feel, how genuine you are, and how consistently you show up. When your character speaks louder than your business card, doors open naturally.
Another thing that’s been invaluable is staying connected to faith-based communities. Surrounding myself with leaders who love God, share vision, and understand purpose has kept me grounded and aligned. Those relationships have brought opportunities, collaborations, and support that money can’t buy.
In short: stay teachable, stay connected, and stay true to who you are. The right mentors and networks will find you when your heart and your work ethic are aligned.
