Today we’d like to introduce you to Ashlee Ann.

Hi Ashlee, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
My passion for all things beauty started at a very young age. I knew I wanted to be a hair and makeup artist since I was a little girl. I owned a business in Michigan for many years with lots of girls working for me. Once my career hit its peak, I began to explore other states to expand in. I finally found the Tampa/St Pete area and knew it would be a booming market for me to grow as an artist in. Since I’ve been in Tampa for five years now, my career has skyrocketed. I’ve been doing weddings, working with celebrities and other high end events.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It was definitely a hard transition coming from a state I had been established in for years and starting over here in Tampa. I had to work very hard and get to know a lot of people. Putting myself out there as an individual and businesswoman has really challenged me and helped me learn a lot about who I am as a person.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I specialize in formal hair and airbrush makeup. Most people know me for doing a lot of weddings. Still, I obviously have had some very cool experiences working with lots of celebrities and traveling to many cool places to accommodate my clients.

Can you talk to us about how you think about risk?
It was a major risk ending my path in Michigan and trying to build a new business in Florida. I had already established my company in Michigan, but I was completely bored and in a rut as an artist. If I didn’t have risked everything coming to Florida, my life would not be the same and I wouldn’t have gained 90% of the unique work opportunities I’ve gotten.
