We’re looking forward to introducing you to Carmona B.. Check out our conversation below.
Carmona, a huge thanks to you for investing the time to share your wisdom with those who are seeking it. We think it’s so important for us to share stories with our neighbors, friends and community because knowledge multiples when we share with each other. Let’s jump in: What do the first 90 minutes of your day look like?
My mornings set the tone for everything. The first 90 minutes are all about alignment, mentally, creatively, and spiritually. I usually start with a moment of quiet, either journaling. or reflection over a cup of tea. It helps me center my thoughts and get clear on my intentions for the day.
Next, I review my task list to map out priorities. A good podcast in the background keeps the energy flowing while I get into work mode.
Some days I step outside into my garden, where the blooms and greenery recharge me. That connection to nature fuels so much of my creativity. Before I dive into designing, planning, or collaborating, I check in with myself: Am I leading with heart? Am I staying aligned with my brand values? These small ritual keeps me grounded and inspired.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I’m Carmona, the creative force behind In Full Bloom Event Planning & Design, where I serve as an event planner, designer, and floral creative. My brand is rooted in storytelling, artistry, and elevated experiences. As an artist and designer at heart, I bring a unique lens to every event I plan, blending visual composition with heartfelt meaning to create celebrations that feel as good as they look.
Whether I’m curating florals, designing a wedding tablescape, or producing a signature event, my goal is always the same: to translate your story into a beautifully styled memory. What makes my brand special is the way I design with both intention and emotion, combining creativity with careful planning so that no detail is overlooked.
Right now, I’m focused on expanding my services for 2026 bookings and also in the early stages of a rebrand to reflect the next chapter of my journey. I’m so excited for what’s next!
Great, so let’s dive into your journey a bit more. What was your earliest memory of feeling powerful?
My earliest memory of feeling powerful was the first time I created something with my hands and someone said, “That’s beautiful.” I was a child drawing with pencil and crayon, arranging imaginary events in my mind. That moment of expression made me feel seen and it made others feel something.
That has always been my quiet superpower: storytelling through art, design, and experience.
Now, as an event planner and designer, I feel powerful not because of titles or accolades but because I can take someone’s vision and turn it into something real. I can build something beautiful out of ideas, emotions, and intention. And that, to me, is the most fulfilling kind of power there is.
Do you remember a time someone truly listened to you?
Absolutely. One moment that stands out was when I first started talking seriously about growing my business and expanding my vision beyond just events. I was sharing my ideas, some still messy, some just seeds of inspiration and a few close to me didn’t interrupt, didn’t try to fix or critique. They simply listened.
They let me take up space. They reflected back the heart behind my words, not just the logistics. That kind of listening, the kind where you feel seen beyond the surface, reminded me that my voice had value, even before everything was polished or finalized. It gave me the push I needed to move forward with confidence.
It was a reminder that deep listening can be healing and empowering. It’s something I now try to offer others, especially clients who are trusting me with their vision and their moments.
So a lot of these questions go deep, but if you are open to it, we’ve got a few more questions that we’d love to get your take on. What truths are so foundational in your life that you rarely articulate them?
That beauty has power. That presence is everything. That how you make people feel is just as important as what you create.
These are truths I’ve carried quietly but deeply, from the way I design events and spaces, to the way I show up for people. I believe in the sacredness of details, in the language of flowers, in the energy that intentional planning and design brings to a moment.
I rarely say these things out loud, but they’re the foundation of my work and how I live. I trust that what’s rooted in love, care, and authenticity will flourish in business, in art, and in life.
Okay, we’ve made it essentially to the end. One last question before you go. Could you give everything your best, even if no one ever praised you for it?
Absolutely. Because the reward isn’t in the recognition, it’s in the integrity of the work. I’ve always believed that how I show up when no one’s watching defines my character more than any spotlight ever could.
I create experiences, design with purpose not because someone will cheer for it, but because I know the energy I bring shapes the outcome. The satisfaction comes from knowing I honored the moment, the client, the vision.
Praise is beautiful, but purpose is better. And I move with purpose every day.
