Angie Soul of New Tampa on Life, Lessons & Legacy

Angie Soul shared their story and experiences with us recently and you can find our conversation below.

Angie , we’re thrilled to have you with us today. Before we jump into your intro and the heart of the interview, let’s start with a bit of an ice breaker: What is a normal day like for you right now?
Chaos. Pure (organized) chaos. Lol. I’m a wife to a well known Tampa artist. Momma to a very active (almost) 4-year old. Head of HR in an international company, and if life isn’t hectic enough, I’m a content creator.

My mornings are focused around my daughter and making sure she gets to daycare on time. The bulk of my days are spent juggling the demands of my job- numerous meeting, countless emails and escalations. Then when I’m off from work, I’m squeezing into content before I clock in for my second shift of the evening routine with my daughter. By the time I lay my head down, I’m awake for a full 15 minutes before my fav Netflix show watches me!

The days are long but they’re full.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I go by Angie Soul- virtual bestie with mid-size mama magic. I love all things fashion, travel, food, and beauty.

I initially started as a blogger with my blog named Ang Meets Soul -a public journal that propelled my self recovery and shared healing journeys with many strangers online.

I no longer blog as much as I used to but I’ve found myself in new creative spaces such as content creation, modeling, and even acting! I will be making my acting debut in January 2026 for the production, R.A.W. – Realizing a Woman.

Appreciate your sharing that. Let’s talk about your life, growing up and some of topics and learnings around that. Who saw you clearly before you could see yourself?
My husband. That man has dragged me out of every comfort space possible in my life and it’s because he’s always seen me greater than I see myself. According to him, I’m Superwoman and I’m capable of doing it all! Most times, I have negative reactions to this lol I mean, it’s so uncomfortable!! He is the one who has instilled the confidence in me to take chance and believe in myself:

What did suffering teach you that success never could?
You never know how strong you are until you have no choice but to pick up the broken pieces yourself. Life is constant; filed with pockets of time that provide you all temporary emotions including suffering. It’s inevitable but as they say, “this too shall pass.” Suffering has taught me that in a state of destruction, theres always an opportunity for renovation; it’s never ruin. Suffering has taught me faith.

So a lot of these questions go deep, but if you are open to it, we’ve got a few more questions that we’d love to get your take on. Is the public version of you the real you?
To a certain extent, yes. I’m pretty open about being an extremely flawed person who is unhinged about 60% of the time. I go through highs and lows and I don’t really shelter the lows from my audience. That approach has really helped me shaped a community who shows up for me when I don’t have the capacity to show up in the way I would want to.

Okay, so before we go, let’s tackle one more area. If you knew you had 10 years left, what would you stop doing immediately?
Stop caring what others think of me. Naturally, I’m a people pleaser and struggle with feelings of guilt and anxiety when I can’t be there in a way a person expects me to be… especially when I’m trying to enforce boundaries. I don’t ever want to make another person upset but I also recognize that I have a tendency to shrink myself so I can be digestible for others.
