We recently had the chance to connect with Stacey Heald and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Stacey, thank you so much for joining us today. We’re thrilled to learn more about your journey, values and what you are currently working on. Let’s start with an ice breaker: What do you think is misunderstood about your business?
One of the biggest misunderstandings about our field is simply what regenerative medicine actually is. Many people hear the term and imagine something experimental or non-traditional, when in reality, regenerative medicine is built on a very intuitive concept: most illnesses, injuries, and chronic conditions stem from degeneration – the gradual breakdown of tissue over time.
Whether it’s joint pain, tendon injuries, neuropathy, or even the hormonal and metabolic shifts that come with aging, so much of what people struggle with physically is tied to the body’s declining ability to repair itself. Regenerative medicine steps in where degeneration takes over, giving the body the biological support it needs to rebuild, restore, and recover as it was designed to do.
The goal isn’t to mask symptoms – it’s to help the body repair the source of the problem.
This is why regenerative medicine is considered the frontier of modern healthcare. Instead of relying solely on surgeries, pain medications, or symptom management, it taps into the body’s own healing intelligence through biologic messengers like:
• Mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs)
• Exosomes
• Growth factors
• Cytokines
• Platelet-rich plasma (PRP)
These biologics don’t replace tissue. They communicate with your body – signaling it to reduce inflammation, repair damaged cells, and regenerate healthier tissue. It’s the kind of medicine people have hoped for but didn’t realize it already existed.
Now, here’s where the biggest misconception comes in:
Many assume regenerative medicine involves embryos or unregulated practices abroad.
It does not.
Not at LeHeal Biogenix®, and not within ethical U.S.-based regenerative medicine.
Every biologic we use are processed in FDA-registered, AATB- and AABB-compliant facilities – some of the highest safety and quality standards in the industry. Regenerative medicine in the United States is highly structured, ethical, and backed by rigorous biologic processing standards, especially in states like Florida, where regulations are among the strongest in the country.
Once patients understand what regenerative medicine really is – the science, the sourcing, and the safeguards – their fears dissolve.
What remains is excitement, hope, and a sense of empowerment. At its core, regenerative medicine isn’t a trend – it’s the future of healing and a driving force behind modern biohacking. By enhancing how the body repairs, regenerates, and performs, it gives people the tools to actively influence their biology. It’s the most natural approach to healing we’ve ever had – and the most advanced.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I’m Stacey Heald, Co-Founder and COO of LeHeal Biogenix®, a regenerative medicine and advanced wellness organization dedicated to helping people heal naturally and avoid unnecessary surgery. Our mission is to help individuals return to the active, fulfilling life they love by harnessing the body’s own ability to heal.
LeHeal Biogenix® has grown into multiple locations across the Greater Tampa Bay area, including our new state-of-the-art facility in Lutz, Florida. We specialize in stem cell therapy, exosomes, PRP, peptide therapy, men’s and women’s sexual wellness, medical aesthetics, wellness injections, and performance recovery solutions. What makes us unique is not just the treatments we offer, but the philosophy behind them, every patient deserves options, education, and a path to long-term wellness, not temporary relief.
Our leadership team is shaped by a remarkable group of clinicians who bring together compassion, expertise, and a shared commitment to patient-centered healing. We have been fortunate to have Dr. Shelanda Hayes, a Board-Certified Family Physician, as part of our medical family for many years. Her integrative, whole-person approach helped lay the foundation for the values we uphold today. Alongside her, Dr. D’Wan Carpenter, DO, a Dually Board-Certified Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation specialist, brings deep expertise in musculoskeletal medicine, functional restoration, and regenerative therapies. Complementing this team is Dr. Marissa Oxenford, DPT, who develops post-procedure recovery and functional movement protocols that help patients maximize healing after biologic therapies. Supported by an exceptional team of Nurse Practitioners, we’ve built a practice that is both medically innovative and deeply human – blending science, empathy, and real connection to deliver truly transformative care.
LeHeal Biogenix® is special because it’s built on the belief that healing is possible and patients deserve a medical team that believes that too.
Thanks for sharing that. Would love to go back in time and hear about how your past might have impacted who you are today. What breaks the bonds between people—and what restores them?
Pain breaks connection. Whether it’s physical pain that limits movement or emotional pain that creates isolation, suffering can quietly separate people from their families, communities, and even from themselves. We see this every day, patients who feel disconnected from the activities, relationships, and identity that once brought them joy.
What restores those bonds is empathy, education, and understanding. We don’t rush consultations or dismiss concerns. We listen. We validate. We explain the “why” behind the pain and the “how” behind the healing. When a patient feels heard, supported, and empowered with knowledge, something shifts. Hope returns. Confidence returns. And their connection to the world around them strengthens again.
Healing is physical, yes; but it’s also deeply human. Regaining mobility, confidence, and comfort allows people to reconnect with the people and activities they love. And that human connection is at the heart of what we do.
What have been the defining wounds of your life—and how have you healed them?
My own journey through pain and loss of movement became the defining wound of my life and ultimately, the reason I founded LeHeal Biogenix®. I experienced pain that kept me from doing the things that grounded me, restored me, and helped me feel like myself. I couldn’t participate in activities with my children, couldn’t keep up with the demands of daily life, and felt a deep emotional and mental decline as my physical limitations grew.
Movement was always my therapy, my balance, my identity and suddenly it was gone. That loss wasn’t just physical; it was personal.
But that experience became the catalyst for everything that came next. It taught me compassion in a way no textbook ever could. It helped me understand the emotional weight carried by anyone living in pain. And it ignited the mission that would become LeHeal Biogenix® – creating a place where people could heal physically and emotionally, where they could rediscover confidence, strength, and connection through natural, regenerative healing.
Pain once broke me, but purpose rebuilt me. That is the heart of my work today.
So a lot of these questions go deep, but if you are open to it, we’ve got a few more questions that we’d love to get your take on. What are the biggest lies your industry tells itself?
One of the most common myths in regenerative medicine is that you must travel abroad to receive high-quality stem cell therapy. This belief is not only outdated, it’s dangerous.
The United States, particularly states like Florida and Utah, maintains some of the strictest regulations in the country to ensure that regenerative treatments are safe, ethically sourced, and scientifically validated. Every biologic used at LeHeal Biogenix® is FDA-registered, clinically tested, and ethically obtained.
When you travel outside the U.S. for treatment, patients often have no transparency into:
• The true source of the biologic
• The concentration or viability of cells
• The sterility or safety of the product
• Whether the biologic contains living cells at all
People assume they’re getting something “stronger” overseas, but in reality, they may be getting something less regulated and less reliable.
The truth is simple: high-quality regenerative medicine is not about geography, it’s about science, ethics, and clinical integrity.
Okay, so let’s keep going with one more question that means a lot to us: Are you doing what you were born to do—or what you were told to do?
Without question, I am doing what I was born to do. I’ve spent my entire career helping people live better, healthier, and more confident lives. As an executive at Medi-Weightloss Franchising USA, LLC, I helped scale the company to over 100 locations by building education-driven, clinically sound programs. Later, as COO of Pvolve, I championed science-based functional movement and longevity-focused fitness.
Every chapter of my life, professionally and personally, pointed me toward this work long before LeHeal Biogenix® existed.
And while I have proudly carried the name Heald, (pronounced “HEELED”), for the past 20 years, it now feels symbolic of the mission that fuels my purpose. My journey has always centered around healing and helping others reclaim the parts of themselves they thought were lost. That isn’t coincidence. That’s alignment.
I’m not doing what I was told to do. I’m doing what I was meant to do.
