An Inspired Chat with Anna Vainelovich of Lutz

We’re looking forward to introducing you to Anna Vainelovich. Check out our conversation below.

Anna, so good to connect and we’re excited to share your story and insights with our audience. There’s a ton to learn from your story, but let’s start with a warm up before we get into the heart of the interview. What are you most proud of building — that nobody sees?
I am most proud of building trust and long-term relationships with the people who come to us. Many only see the final product or service, but behind it there is systematic work: attention to detail, honesty, and the desire to make each client feel valued. I have built processes so that the business does not rely only on me, but also on a team culture—where everyone understands that quality and care for people are more important than speed or profit. This is the invisible foundation that gives the business long-term stability.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Anna Vainelovich, and I run Via Prof Studio. We started our business four years ago with just three people, and today we’re a team of 25. We love what we do and always try to give our clients the best service and care.
Besides nails, we also do permanent makeup, lash extensions, brows and wax.
My mission is to keep growing, bring something new to the beauty world, and share high-quality European standards with clients here in the U.S.

Appreciate your sharing that. Let’s talk about your life, growing up and some of topics and learnings around that. Who were you before the world told you who you had to be?
Since I was a child, I loved painting nails and trying different designs. Still, back in the 2000s in my country, the beauty field wasn’t seen as a serious profession, so I chose to study medicine and became a pharmacist. I worked in a pharmacy for 8 years, but I never stopped doing nails for friends and family.

In 2015, I finally decided to follow my passion and moved fully into the beauty industry. I earned my cosmetology license and started my journey. My medical background taught me how important hygiene, safety, and quality are — and today I see beauty not only as creativity, but also as a way to help people, especially with pedicure and foot health.

Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
Yes, there was a moment when I nearly gave up. Just four months after opening the studio, one of the team members I started with betrayed my trust and never returned from vacation because she had opened her own studio during that time. Another team member informed me that she could only work two days a week, and a third left for a month-long trip. Suddenly, I found myself completely alone.

It was the hardest time for me; I worked without any days off, trying to manage all the clients by myself. I felt exhausted and was on the verge of giving up. But, thank God, I didn’t quit. That experience made me stronger and taught me that even in the toughest moments, perseverance can see you through.

And today, I can proudly say that all those challenges were worth it — because we have just signed a contract for an double size space. In this new studio, we will offer an extended range of luxury services designed to help our clients truly relax, feel valued and loved. A place where they can simply breathe out and feel cared for.

So a lot of these questions go deep, but if you are open to it, we’ve got a few more questions that we’d love to get your take on. Is the public version of you the real you?
Yes, the public version of me is the real me. I believe in being genuine and transparent — what people see is who I truly am. I don’t like to wear masks or pretend to be someone else, and I value the same honesty in the people around me.

Okay, we’ve made it essentially to the end. One last question before you go. Are you doing what you were born to do—or what you were told to do?
I feel that I am exactly where I am meant to be. My true calling is to help people, and it doesn’t matter in what form this happens — whether as a pharmacist or as a nail technician.

At one time, I chose medicine and for many years I helped people through pharmaceuticals. But a true passion has always lived within me — a love for beauty, creativity, and for making people’s lives easier and brighter. In 2015, I made the decision to change everything and follow my heart.

Today I know for certain: my mission is to help people through beauty, health, and care. This is what gives me meaning and inspires me every single day.
