Today we’d like to introduce you to Tyler Erb.
Hi Tyler, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I have always had a love for cars, but somewhere in my early teenage years, my mother had a friend who owned a used car lot.
I got to see him restore auction cars and would help out on the weekends when I could. It was a great feeling to be able to take a vehicle that someone had discarded and make it look new again, and I believe that is where my passion grew from.
As far as location, I am South Jersey born and raised, but spent four years in New York, including a majority of the pandemic. Being stuck in a high-rise building apartment when the world was shut down made me know it was time for a change and Florida had a mixture of the outdoors life that I was looking for.
I believe my short time in Florida and the place it has put me in mentally helped me realize it was time to start chasing my passions and car detailing helps bring me the same relaxation as my move to the Sunshine State did.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It is a very competitive market and that’s why I noted how passionate I am.
I am available by phone or email most of the day and I work seven days a week because I enjoy it and I understand each customer has different schedules that need to be accommodated. I like to make each customer feel special and that extra attention to customer service is just as much of a challenge as it is the reason my business excels.
As far as whether it has been a smooth road, starting and running a business from the ground floor in a territory that I am not completely familiar with yet can present its issues, especially dealing with the Florida weather. But I wouldn’t change my location for anywhere else.

My business is a simple one, mobile detailing.
I don’t like to underestimate my company too much, as detailing is a popular entrepreneurial startup, but it takes a lot of work, and as I mentioned before, passion.
I believe what I am known for is more important than any specialty service I can provide, as my passion and care for each vehicle and customer put me a cut above the rest- at least that’s what I’d like to think.
Can you talk to us a bit about the role of luck?
I’ve always been a hard worker, but luck has come into play in my life in the form of my wife.
She makes me feel lucky every day. And really it’s her support that has enabled me to start a detailing business. There are a lot of hours and a lot of schedule changes she puts up with, but I’ve never heard one complaint.
Any other bit of luck I feel in this business is the clientele I’ve worked with so far. Some of my repeat customers have become friends and I’ve really gotten to know the area and appreciate it even more being on the road every day.
