Meet Rachel Lombardo

Today we’d like to introduce you to Rachel Lombardo.

Hi Rachel, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I started my foodie journey about a dozen years ago blogging my own recipes, my children’s parties, tablescapes, and family adventures. I loved doing my blog and I always looked at it as a virtual scrapbook for my children to look back on. And with my oldest being 21, my middle son 19, and my youngest 15, I know for a fact they’ve gone back and looked back at my past blog entries. With any successful hobby, you grow from what you’ve learned along the way. My family blogging evolved into more of a social media platform and less of a formal blog structure. I felt I had a broader, more diverse, audience with social media venues such as Instagram and Facebook. With that epiphany, I dedicated all of my blogging to those 2 social media outlets, dabbling a little bit on TikTok. I still sprinkle in a good mix of my own recipes and our families’ events alongside my restaurant visits and food reviews. I feel this formula keeps me genuine and more relatable to my followers. I love supporting all things Tampa Bay- especially restaurants, family events, and festivals! I live in the suburbs but never mind driving any distance for a great meal, ambiance, and lasting memories! I especially love when those spots are photo-worthy so I can share it with my followers!!

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
My full-time day job- beside being a wife and mom, is working for the world’s largest financial institution. I am an account manager for treasury products (sounds exciting huh!?) I started there in 1998, taking time off to raise my kids and starting back in 2010. I’m a loyal person and that includes my employer!

We all have a different way of looking at and defining success. How do you define success?
Hard work, self-respect, loyalty, being genuine, thinking about the big picture, and satisfaction. And when your kids tell you they told their coworkers to follow you (their way of saying their proud of you!)
