Today we’d like to introduce you to Paige Tucker.
Hi Paige, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I am a 32-year-old from Charleston, S.C. I have resided in Saint Petersburg, FL, for the last ten years. I am an author, entrepreneur, and owner of Be Your Best You LLC, a brand coaching and marketing consulting agency with a mission to help entrepreneurs and small businesses navigate their brands by helping them to Grow their businesses, Promote their brand identity, and Share their brand stories to attract their ideal clients. Be Your Best You, LLC accomplishes this goal by offering capacity-building services in the form of business coaching, digital media marketing, professional development training, and workshops.. I am also the owner of The Breakthrough: Training and Co-workspace for women.
I hold a degree in Medicine, Healthy & Society from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN, and a Masters in Human Services from Southeastern University in Lakeland, FL. I’m a certified Adult and Youth Mental Health First Aid instructor, which has allowed her to spread awareness and education to end the stigma associated with mental illness. I also hold a Diversity and Inclusion Certificate from Cornell University.
My career began as a Community Relations Specialist AmeriCorps Vista with Community Tampa Bay. During her time with CTB, she began to understand just how important it was for organizations to share their stories. This revelation has laid the foundation for her current business, which particularly focuses on helping non-profits organizations and small businesses become more visible through digital media.
In 2016, I discovered my passion for entrepreneurship. I started a jewelry business will the goal of making some extra money, but this changed my life forever. I developed a strong team and quickly climbed the ranks in the business. While I had found some success, I still didn’t feel fulfilled. This led me to start to Be Your Best You LLC. My goal was to take all of the things that I was passionate about and incorporate them into my business. I initially wanted to focus on empowering communities to be their best financially, physically, mentally, and logistically. My main focus was capacity building through organizational development.
In 2019, I published my book, #SingleSeason: Discover How To Be Your Best You While You’re Single. I had planned to go on a book tour in 2020 to promote the book and begin coaching groups for singles through my business. However, in Covid-19, I was hired by a local non-profit to be their Marketing Consultant, which led to me changing my business model to what it is today.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
No, it has not been a smooth road. Being an entrepreneur is not for the faint of heart. I think the biggest struggle is finding out what works and who my target audience is. It requires a lot of trial of error. Being in a pandemic hasn’t made that any easier. It requires a lot of pivoting and finding innovative ways to keep the business going. While going digital is convenient, it definitely can have its drawbacks when trying to attract new clients. Nothing beats in-person networking and events.
There are also so many highs and lows that go along with being an entrepreneur. There are so many factors that can affect the bottom line. While there is freedom, it requires a lot of focus and planning to make sure the business remains in the black.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about Be Your Best You?
Be Your Best You LLC, a business coaching and marketing consulting agency with a mission to empower entrepreneurs, small businesses, and non-profits organizations to showcase the best versions of themselves through their brand stories and establish a strong digital presence. Be Your Best You, LLC accomplishes this goal by offering capacity-building services in the form of business coaching, digital media marketing, professional development training and workshops.
Our specialty is our brand photoshoots. We love to help our clients tell their brand stories through pictures and videos. We take a unique approach where we couple coaching sessions with our photoshoots to ensure that we are helping clients showcase the best versions of their brands. We don’t just want our clients to take nice photos. Everything we do is intentional. Our clients receive a VIP experience, including a makeup artist, creative director, stylist, photographer, and videographer. We take pictures that make it very evident of what our clients do in their businesses.
What sets us apart from others is that we are a one-stop shop for our clients. While branding and marketing is our specialty, we also help clients do the following: generate business ideas, file LLCs, obtain EINs, complete a lean canvas, create capability statements, establish missions & visions, design logos, create a brand identity, write their brand stories, complete a marketing plan, build their websites, create content for social media, design & print marketing collateral, and help connect them to other professional resources. We help clients rebrand and host brand strategy sessions to help them to stay competitive in their industries.
Our difference maker is that we believe that a positive mindset is a key to any successful business. Therefore, we provide life coaching in conjunction with business coaching to ensure that our clients are becoming the best versions of themselves while they are growing their businesses. We also work alongside our clients, showing them how many of these processes work in order to empower them to be able to better understand every aspect of their business.
We also offer personal and professional development training and workshops for our clients to help them to continue to grow. As a Certified Mental Health First Aid instructor, I believe that positive mental health is important. We are not offering monthly Mental Health First Aid training in order to train business owners on how to notice and respond to the signs and symptoms of a mental health crisis and substance use. As a business owner, having this foundation is key.
We also offer a training center and co-workspace called the Breakthrough EXCELerator, where female entrepreneurs are able to pay a monthly membership fee to utilize the space and gain access to exclusive resources. Our center is also available for small rentals, including brunches, workshops, and networking events.
So, before we go, how can our readers or others connect or collaborate with you? How can they support you?
The easiest way to support is to follow Be Your Best You, LLC on our social media pages and subscribe to the website. I am launching my new IG live show “The Self- Love Mentality” in September. It will be a weekly show filled with motivation, inspiration and tips to rock the self-love mentality. I am looking for guests to feature each week to share their own self-love journey. I love networking and hosting events and am interested in collaborating with others to host such events. I am also always looking for speakers from all industries for our workshops and training and special events. I am also a motivational speaker and author and am interested in being booked for speaking engagements.
