Community Highlights: Meet Nicole LeGant of Maya’s Mystical Treasures

Today we’d like to introduce you to Nicole LeGant. 

Hi Nicole, so excited to have you on the platform. So, before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
In 2018 my husband and I started on a new spiritual path. During that time, we both discovered minerals, crystals, and rocks which we soon would learn how they could benefit us on our new journey. During this time, we started going to different rock stores acquiring new crystals, and meeting new people along the way. We began to understand that the crystals chose us, we didn’t choose them. Crystals would show up and we realized their purpose was to help us grow. 

In August of 2019, 1 month after the birth of our daughter Maya, we purchased a 200-pound piece of museum quality sand selenite that little did we know, would forever change our lives. Over the next year, we saw this piece as an energy center of our home. Miracles started happening and it was clear that the passion for crystals would be much more than a hobby. Fast forward to March 2021, we went to the Spring Gem and Mineral Show in Plant City, Florida where we met a couple of rock enthusiast, also known as “Rock Hounds”, that sold us a rare piece of meteorite. To this day those “Rock Hounds” became our mentors. Shortly after attending that show and purchasing the piece of meteorite, we decided to put it all on the line to start our own business selling crystals. Not only did we enjoy crystals we wanted to share our passion for them with anyone that would listen! 

Meanwhile, I’ve been working full time in the logistics field for 17 years, have several volunteer commitments to include a volunteer committee member for the Greater Tampa Bay Walk to Defeat ALS and the Guardian Ad Litem Program for Hillsborough County, in addition to having two special needs young children and yet I was ready to fill my plate and take on the role of being a business owner. 

In September 2021 we attended our first vendor’s market. We realized there was a demand for crystals and their metaphysical properties. Our purpose is helping people find crystals that allow them to change. We enjoy talking all things crystals to anyone of all ages and backgrounds. 

Our mission is to receive crystals and rocks for the sake of growing, evolving, changing, and transforming our customers. 

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
No road is 100% smooth. We invested our savings, time, and energy into Maya’s Mystical Treasures. Getting to know our customer’s wants and needs has been our biggest struggle thus far. We make every effort to order and handpick high vibrational crystals from around the world and yet at the same time, gauge the needs for those crystals also. We’ve had to pivot in new directions from the crystals that we thought the customer needed, to align with what the customer wants. 

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about Maya’s Mystical Treasures?
We see minerals, crystals, and rocks as individual pieces of the earth’s soul. They are tools to assist us in growing, evolving, changing, and transforming by bringing light or order into our lives. A vibration is an energy; whether it be positive or negative. Crystals allow high vibrational or positive energy to flow through the body helping the mood, mind, and health. 

What sets us apart from the others is we solely focus on crystals, minerals, and rocks, nothing else. We put 100% of our time and energy into the knowledge, wisdom, and understanding of crystals. Our inventory is consistently changing as we add new unique pieces weekly. We pride ourselves on sharing the benefits we’ve personally received from the crystals with our current and future customers. For those newly interested in crystals, we offer complimentary consultations to help educate and assist in picking the right one specifically for them. 

This is not just a business for us, it is our passion. Maya’s Mystical Treasures was named after our 2-year-old daughter Maya whom had an infinity to crystals from birth. Maya brought us the strength and certainty to start a new chapter in our lives as entrepreneurs. Our vision is for Maya to continue our mission. 

We specialize in sourcing the highest quality crystals from around the world for our customers. Cleansing and clearing our crystals in the sun’s masculine energy and the moon’s feminine energy is a service we perform as soon as we receive new crystals and after every market. We believe this allows the crystals to bring more light or order into one’s life.

Likes: Tampa is a melting pot for diverse cultures that we can appreciate, explore and love individually.
