Today we’d like to introduce you to Katherine Ruiz.

Katherine, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I started my Real Estate journey years ago in my early 20s flipping houses. After flipping my first house, I quickly realized that if I wanted to get the job done right, I was going to have to do it myself. So, a month before my flip was going to be finished, I went to take the expedited Real Estate Class to obtain my license.

I was able to list my First Flip and obtain a full price on my flip but not before receiving a whooping $40,000 Lien on my property for the Contractor that was ripping me off. As a young, naive, Hispanic woman I had no idea what I was going to do since I had never been through something like this in my life. So I did what I did best, which was build relationships.

I ended up finding a Real Estate Attorney who was able to assist me in getting this lien removed by threatening to counter-sue for damages, which worked! After successfully flipping my first home and selling it myself, I repeated the process again and again. But, not before getting ripped off by another contractor, and another contractor, and yes you guessed it. Another Contractor!

The last straw for me was when the workers on one of my flips called me and told me that after months of paying my contractor every week, they had not been paid in 3 months! I ended up taking the workers and the contractors to the bank and having them all sign lien waivers so I could get the workers paid up.

Everything happens for a reason because right after this, I took all the workers with me and started my own renovation company. No more would I have to deal with Contractors ripping me off. Now, I was in control and I had the team to back me up.

Fast forward years later, I was able to obtain my Brokers license and open up my Brokerage where I now have agents who work with me collectively to help our Buyers, Sellers, and Investors. We were able to build a Brokerage like no other. Our Brokerage offers our Buyers and Sellers the Free assistance they need when it comes to repairs, handyman services, Investment opportunities and so much more! We are truly a one-stop shop for all your Real Estate Needs.

After investing in a couple of rentals, I quickly realized that scaling Single Family to what I was looking for would take too long so I got into Multifamily Syndication. After becoming a partner and now part owner of Blue Ring Investors, I was able to start investing in purchasing Apartment Buildings, while also assisting my Investors in doing the same as well.

Now my investors can take advantage of high returns, no management on their side, Tax Depreciation from the Apartments, and Passive income through the cash flow. It truly is one of the most Beautiful investment opportunities. My mission now is to help as many people, as I can, to become Homeowners, sell their homes for top dollars, and have my Investors receive high ROI so they can diversify their portfolios.

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am the Broker Owner of Nova Real Estate Group. My goal when creating this Brokerage was to create a Brokerage that was like no other. Our goal is to educate our Buyers and Sellers so they can make educated decisions and others do not take advantage of them.

What sets us apart is the fact that we are partnered with our Renovation company which assists our customers so we can work on fixing their homes before listing to ensure they receive top dollar for their homes. We also have a 20 Step Marketing Plan to get the Listing sold, and for our Buyers, we check all their options before getting them into a loan or property.

Our goal is to make sure we match the home to the Buyer, we also provide our Investors with different options when it comes to investing. Whether it’s a short-term goal of investing in a flip or a long-term goal of building generational wealth by investing inaApartments. We educate our Investors to make the best decision for their current financial needs.

How do you think about luck?
Luck has not played a role in my life and business. The guidance and love of God are what have helped me keep my sanity and assisted me in making the best decisions I have made so far. I am forever thankful.
