Today we’d like to introduce you to Allie Serrano.
Hi Allie, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I am from the Czech Republic and I have lived in the USA for about 22 years now. I spent my entire childhood in Europe and I’ve lived in the USA as an adult.
I came to the United States because I wanted to see the world. I wanted to travel, I wanted to meet people, and I wanted to experience new things. When I came to the United States, I’ve never been on a plane before, so the day I traveled to US was the first time ever for me.
I was born close to Prague in a small spa city in the Czech Republic. Prague is a beautiful city. It is one of the most beautiful cities in Europe if you don’t count Italy and Paris. It is one of the cities that didn’t get bombarded during the wars so it’s absolutely gorgeous. I love the history, I love the romanticism, and I love going back there. It is a land filled with rich country, history, and romanticism, a place where things are handcrafted, one-of-a-kind art, heirloom antiques are created and celebrated.
Living in Europe makes you more aware of your history and where you come from. It makes you realize that the life before you is just as important as the life you are creating now, and the life that’s coming ahead. So it is what made me the artist that I am today.
As a little girl, I loved playing dress-up with my sister. I grew up having read hair and I was bullied for that. So, it is not surprising that today as a portrait photographer I have a burning desire to lift the confidence in everyone I meet, to change the world through beautiful portraits, to impact the world around me, and to tell the stories of the most incredible people I meet along the way.
I provide an incredible life-changing photoshoot experience to women and men that celebrates you and changes the way you see yourself. I help you to be better in business, I will make sure you are celebrated in the best light possible, and I will help your legacy to live on forever. I offer 4 services. Boudoir Glamour Portraits, Business Branding Headshots, Family Portraits, and Cultural Heritage Portraits. I love what I do and mainly I love helping you to see yourself as beautiful and amazing as your loved ones know that you are. I can’t wait to meet you, photograph you, and capture your story with a portrait 🙂
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The biggest struggle I had to overcome was to get outside of my own way. As with most people, we are our own biggest critics, and I had to learn the value of who I am, what I do, and how important is it to others that they are professionally photographed and celebrated. What I do changes lives and I had to learn the value of that in order to be successful.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I love meeting new and incredible people. I was bullied as a child and so the women I connect with the most are either those who need more confidence in their life and the little extra oomph in order to fully live the life of their dreams or those who are already on the way there and want to share their story with the world. I am known for incredible real portraits of men and women that they either use for business or personal growth and celebration. I am known for colorful rich photographic oil paintings and the experience I offer goes along with that.
When you get photographed with me, you don’t just have someone push a few buttons. I will guide you every step of the way, you will be pampered, have your hair and makeup done by a professional stylist, you will get assistance with wardrobe selection making sure you look your best, and during the photoshoot, I will guide you through all poses making sure your best features are the things people notice the most. Most of my clients have a difficult time selecting their images because they love them all. My goal is for you to fall in love with the way I see and capture you and take that with you to your next life journey.
What do you like best about our city? What do you like least?
I have lived in Tampa Bay for over 20 years. I keep finding new things to love, new adventures to experience, and new people to connect with. What I especially love is that it is a melting pot of different cultures from all around the world and we all live happily in one area. I really love that about Tampa Bay.
The one thing I like the least is that we are known for our pristine beaches, but recently red tide has been exacerbated by companies which use our Bay as a dumping ground are taking away from the beauty of the Tampa Bay area. We really need to come together, make some changes and protect our environment.
