Today we’d like to introduce you to Nadia Kaminskaya.
Nadia, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
At a very young age, I fell in love with being my own boss. I started my first business at age 16, and I’ve worked in the marketing and branding industry ever since. Over the years, I’ve founded multiple companies, including Modern Consulting 360, My City Cowork, and Bae Bosses. My passion revolves around building startups, educating, marketing, and creating sustainable strategies.
After high school, I pursued my Bachelor’s in Finance, Masters in Business Administration (MBA), and Masters in Marketing from the University of South Florida. I’ve been involved in multiple research projects and school organizations in which I illustrated my capability of being a leader, including being a Graduate Teaching Assistant during my Master’s program. With the launch of my new venture, Branding Bosses, I approached a good friend, The Ani-me, to create a podcast that would excite and ignite young or aspiring entrepreneurs to start their business and continue following their passion no matter what.
Be the Boss Podcast focuses on all aspects of entrepreneurship. Not just the fun and glam aspect of it. But the hard work, the spirit behind entrepreneurs, and the artistic expression that goes into building something from the ground up. I believe we all have an entrepreneur inside us, but society doesn’t always applaud that. They applaud a friend getting a job offer, but they don’t applaud the side hustle. And that’s hard, especially when you’re starting. We don’t want to just be a podcast; we want to be a community of entrepreneurs that applaud each other on the new side hustle, the new business venture, or even the new idea!
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Creating a podcast has been a hard process since both me and my co-host, The Ani-me’, are full-time business owners. The hardest challenge is scheduling and being consistent, but we find a way to always deliver to our audience and create an exciting experience. We want our podcast to have a unique take on the entrepreneur experience and the spirit of entrepreneurship.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
Branding Bosses is a branding agency that is female-owned and female-run. We focus on bringing an honest and unique experience to digital marketing. Everything we do is focused on the user experience and creating boss brands that excite and ignite followers. We are known for our Branding, Strategy Creation, and Social Media Management. As a brand, I’m proud of our culture, we genuinely care about our clients, and we have fun doing it. We work with small and minority-owned businesses and provide an experience, not just a service.
Be the Boss Podcast is an extension of Branding Bosses but its own brand. My co-host, The Ani-me, and I focus on delivering a unique experience where we have discussions and interviews with no scripting. Everything is organic and genuine. We are most proud of the amount of support we’ve generated from our listeners.
What was your favorite childhood memory?
My childhood was a happy and exciting one. My mom immigrated when I was seven, and from that moment, all I remember are amazing memories, experiences, meeting new people, and discovering a new culture. If I had to pinpoint my favorite memory, it would be traveling, going from the US to Russia, and stopping by a new country every year when visiting my grandparents. It allowed me to really understand different cultures and have emotional intelligence when dealing with different customs, languages, and people.
