Today we’d like to introduce you to Viviana Pena.
Hi Viviana, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
We came to the U.S in 2015 with my husband and daughter. We started in New Jersey with my husband’s family, and then he enlisted in the United States Army. We had only 4 suitcases with us when we got here but they were full of clothes and dreams.
His first duty station was in NC (FT. Bragg) Where I started noticing the esthetician world through Instagram and friends. This caught my interest and I decided to start investigating this particular skill.
I started by studying body contouring in Raleigh, NC. I looked for many schools that provided me with a license as an esthetician in NC, but it was very difficult. Me and my husband decided to move to Florida for many reasons, one of them becoming an esthetician, which I studied in FMOR Skin Care Institute in Orlando, FL.
Once I got my license, I started to promote my business with friends and family. The beginning was tough, but little by little I have been getting more and more clients.
Also, I am working part-time at FMOR Skin Care Institute doing facials and massages as well. The owner has seen my potential and has given me the opportunity to work there to get experience and brush up on my skills. I am extremely thankful for this opportunity, and my main goal is to have my own spa within 1 year.
We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
No, it has not been smooth. The difficulty in finding a good place to study in NC was very hard. one of the reasons we moved to FL. Expensive this has been also hard because it’s an investment in the long term and to come out of pocket for some thousands of dollars and wait to see if the near future will compensate some or all makes it hard.
We’ve been impressed with Gorgeous Body, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Gorgeous Body is a place where you can get body contouring (pre and post-ops, molding, etc.) facials, skin care (acne, wrinkles, PRP, fibroblast, etc.)
I do everything, mainly body contouring which is what most of my clients want (nice curves and flat belly)
I am different than others because I do everything, most of other places or spas focus on one thing (corporal of facial) not that many offer what I do.
I am proud of Gorgeous Body because is something that has my soul and heart in it. I have found my joy, passion of work.
Readers should know that I put in every session 200% of my heart, I treat everyone with the best quality of products, packages, and 1000% honesty. I am in this business to make money, but I will not lie to a customer to get their business. One thing I tell my customers is that if they are NOT willing to be disciplined to see results, I won’t be able to help them. I rather have two disciplined clients that see results than 10 that will not and will be unhappy with the results, creating a bad reputation for my business.
What matters most to you? Why?
Sounds cliche but “customer satisfaction” WHY? because I want to have a big spa soon and to do so and prosper in a business you must have customers. You will grow and will grow big if you have satisfied customers.
