Exploring Life & Business with Alexis Quintal of Rosarium PR & Marketing Collective

Today we’d like to introduce you to Alexis Quintal.

Hi Alexis, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I am originally from Northern Massachusetts and I completed my college degrees at Salem State University in Salem, MA. My first career tapped into my passion for teaching and brought me down to Tampa; after earning my master’s degree in higher education student affairs, I held the role of Admissions Advisor and Recruiter for the University of South Florida as well as an adjunct professor in the Advertising department.

It was a great start to my career, and I am very grateful for the experience. But it wasn’t long before I realized my passion was marketing businesses, not universities. Once I felt ready to be an entrepreneur, I moved the pieces into place one step at a time on this wonderful journey that’s led me to where I am today with Rosarium PR & Marketing Collective.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
Of course, being an entrepreneur has its challenges, but I wouldn’t want it any other way! I had some positive experiences working at the University campus as well as my time in corporate marketing with Walmart Media Group and then Newswire.

When I felt ready for a leadership position quickly, I realized that the only way to meet my expectations for my career was to start a business. Being an entrepreneur comes with its own challenges, but it’s been incredibly rewarding, and each challenging time has been a learning experience for my long-term success as a business owner.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about Rosarium PR & Marketing Collective?
Rosarium PR & Marketing is unique because our company is a “Collective” – technically, we employ no one. Instead, everyone part of the business is an entrepreneur, consultant, or freelancer who is brought in to contribute their expertise as a marketing or advertising professional. That’s what makes us special.

We are all business owners or have some sort of entrepreneurial passion, so we are predisposed to being cost-efficient and results-oriented. At Rosarium, we typically work with solopreneurs or startups on their marketing and thought leadership strategy so they can share their message with a wider audience and successfully target their dream clientele.

We are known for providing world-class communications strategy at a fraction of the price of a typical agency.

Risk-taking is a topic that people have widely differing views on – we’d love to hear your thoughts.
Yes, starting my business was a risk, as I only had one client and have never hired a sales team or outsourced leads.

Our company works with businesses or entrepreneurs that are ready to share their message with a larger audience, so they are often connected to us through referrals or networking relationships.

Another risk we take very intentionally is that we test out all of our services on our own business first. That way, we can be sure they work for businesses and avoid wasting our client’s money. This a risk for us, as it’s an expense upfront, but we feel more comfortable with our service offerings knowing that it’s worked for us!
