Today we’d like to introduce you to Cecilia Allen.
Hi Cecilia, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Hi, thank you for letting me share a part of me with you. I started a business in Lakeland, Fl doing permanent makeup in 2016. I was working as a registered nurse and then God opened a door for me to step into the permanent makeup world doing something I end up loving so much. I get to work with so many people helping them feel more confident, beautiful and whole. I never thought the impact I would have on my clients and that’s what motivates me every day when I’m working with each of them. I’ve worked on individuals for simply cosmetic reasons to underlying hair loss conditions such as alopecia or cancer survivors who’ve lost their brows or eyelashes due to chemo or radiation. They would come in needing eyebrows or eyeliner tattooed on to help them replace what had been lost. I’m a mother of two an artist and a registered nurse.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Some of the struggles along the way was Covid and the change in the economy due to inflation. It slowed buisness down some but more client’s continue to have these services done.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I specialize in permanent makeup excellence and I’m known for creating the most natural looking permanent makeup. I am proud of how well I can make permanent makeup, which is a form of tattooing, look so natural. I strive to make it look like my clients were born with a set of nice brows, eyeliner or beautiful lips that have a soft color to them. I feel like what sets me apart is that I really try hard to get to know my client’s and what it is they want and are looking for then I match that with my experience and knowledge of permanent makeup to create the perfect results for them. Being a nurse has also helped set me apart because clients trust me and that has helped me create a safe and trustworthy environment for each of them.
What matters most to you? Why?
What matters most to me is that my customers are happy and satisfied with their service at Epic Cosmetics Studio. Their safety and making sure I provide the best experience for them is very important to me. I always practice cleanliness and being sterile and I also provide post care instructions to ensure all my clients do not have any complications and receive the best outcome for their permanent makeup.
