I started my journey capturing love (weddings) — but along the way, something unexpected happened. I found that the true heart of my work was in capturing babies and families. Ironically the by product of everyone’s love story start. What began as a passion for love soon evolved into something even deeper: a dedication to preserving the most meaningful moments of family life. The joy, the connection, and those fleeting, precious memories became the true purpose behind my photography. Today, I pour that love and passion into every shot, knowing that every image I create tells a story that will last a lifetime.
Here at DigitalMyst Photography, Dani specializes in maternity, newborn, and family photography throughout the Tampa Bay area. With over 15 years of experience, she brings a wealth of expertise, particularly when it comes to working with babies and children. Dani is not only skilled but truly passionate about creating beautiful, timeless images of your Bay Area families. I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Finding my voice as a photographer was definitely a journey. Early on, I was often influenced by Pinterest trends and online inspiration, constantly thinking about what others were doing or what people “wanted.” But I quickly realized that in order to truly connect with my families and create something meaningful, I needed to step away from trends and focus on my own vision. It took time to develop my unique style, one that’s rooted in genuine moments and the authentic connection between families. Now, I focus on creating something special that reflects each family’s unique story, while staying true to my lighting, style and creativity rather than trying to fit into a mold. It’s about capturing the real, raw beauty of family life — and that’s what makes my work truly stand out.
I believe in letting my clients stay true to who they are; wearing what they own and not swaying them too much from their style. I focus on capturing them in their most authentic form. For me, it’s all about letting the kids shine naturally in front of the camera. Rather than forcing poses or trying to make the moment fit a specific mold, I let their personalities come through in a way that feels effortless and real. Whether it’s a spontaneous laugh or a quiet moment, I aim to capture those genuine emotions, creating images that truly reflect each family’s unique vibe and story. It’s the little, unscripted moments that often become the most cherished memories.

At DigitalMyst Photography, we specialize in serene newborn portraits taken in the comfort of your home across the Land O’ Lakes and Tampa Bay area. For children and family sessions, we head outdoors to capture lively, fun moments — playing games and encouraging the silly side of kids to bring out authentic smiles and personalities in every shot.
I take the greatest pride in my newborn photography, which captures the delicate beauty of those early, unforgettable days. My goal is to create timeless portraits that preserve the pure innocence and tiny details of your baby’s first week — images that will remain cherished for generations. Newborn photography is not just my passion; it’s my most prized craft, and I pour my heart into every session for my Tampa clients.

The crisis has affected us all in different ways. How has it affected you and any important lessons or epiphanies you can share with us?
The Covid-19 crisis taught me invaluable lessons about adaptability, resilience, and the power of human connection. As a photographer, I had to quickly pivot to new ways of working, embracing social distancing measures and briefly working to stay busy and not truly make a living since the world seemed to stop with the unknown.
I decided to get myself out into the community at a distance and do Porch Family Photos to make people smile during a rough time for so many. Perhaps the most important lesson I learned was how much people truly treasure the memories captured through photography, especially during uncertain times. It reinforced the importance of being present and adaptable for my clients, and how, even in tough times, we need to find joy in the little moments. The crisis deepened my appreciation for the role I play in preserving memories and the impact my work has on families.

- My in-home newborn sessions are priced at $600 and offer a complete experience, including family photos, close-up baby portraits, and adorable prop shots. I bring everything directly to your home, making it as easy and comfortable as possible for you. No need to stress about traveling — I take care of all the details so you can focus on what matters most: enjoying those precious first moments with your little one.
- My family sessions are shot on location and are priced at $385. You can expect a mix of posed family portraits, candid moments with the kids, and stunning individual shots of your little ones. To wrap it all up, we’ll capture some beautiful couple photos. After the session, you’ll receive a virtual gallery to relive the day and choose your favorite moments. It’s all about creating a collection of memories that reflect your family’s unique dynamic and love.
