Today we’d like to introduce you to Isaiah (Zeke) Esdale
Hi Isaiah, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I came from a single mother household in Delaware. From 5 years old and on me and my brother were put into sports. From then on I played all sports but it came down to choosing between basketball, baseball, and football. My choice was football. I started at a public high school in Delaware, where I was told I was not good enough to play on varsity. That same year I played varsity and I was seen by another private school who took me in. We played nationally all across the country against some of the best schools in the country. I worked and worked until I started every year there and became an all state player in Maryland. Even though I played great and was a star player I did not receive any scholarship or offers. I took a whole year off at football, but during that year my father died. I made a promise to my mother that she would never have to pay for my schooling. I went to a Junior college in Arizona. I walked on to this school and two weeks in received a full scholarship. After that year I received 10 full ride scholarships to all major D1 schools. My choice was West Virginia University. Coming there I used the mindset that got me through everything. During the years at West Virginia University I had to fight through so much adversity. My mindset was always just work, don’t complain, don’t sulk, make it happen for you. Sticking to that I became a starter in a lot of games and made very big plays throughout the years there. After graduating and receiving my bachelors degree I transferred to Rice University. After playing football and getting a certificate from Rice University, I would pursue the dream of the NFL. I attended my pro day and received interest. After a year I chose for it to end. The one thing I learned from these years is that I loved moving, exercise, and being there for people. I transferred all these skills and knowledge to what I would choose to pursue as a profession. This is Personal Training, Group Training, Skill Training, and a Mental/Physical Therapy aspect. Seeing the people in my groups, 1on1s, and even people that want to join become better is what I love for now. The mental and physical clarity they get from my workouts and energy is the whole reason I do it. There could have been a lot of times that I could have quit, given up, or took an easier route but I didn’t I trained myself to be strong. Now I to do that for the people that may feel that same way. My group beach sessions, group park sessions, 1on1 gym sessions have helped in so many different ways.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
In my opinion it’s never a smooth road. I feel as if you learn more about yourself through a struggle every now and then. It helps me become smarter and stronger, whether that is physically or mentally. A lot of my struggles were being overlooked, family problems, homelessness, and many other problems. From when I was young my family always knew I was a fighter. I would fight for what I want. Fight to get where I want to be. So there was nothing ever to big to stop me from getting there. No matter what the situations I’ve been in to where I thought to myself what am I going to do? Where am I going to go ? Will I make this work? I’ve always figured out how to make it better and come out on top.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
Running Zekey On The Beach comes straight from who I have been as a person my whole life. Exercise, movement, gatherings, helping people, music, and the beach. All of these have been apart of me since I was young. Taking all of the knowledge and experience from weight training, football at the highest levels, schooling in the field of exercise has made me different. The difference is training I show comes from the heart, I do this for people to become the best version of themselves. Zekey On The Beach brings happiness, greatness, and the mind/body that you dream of. In the months that I have started Zekey On The Beach I have seen people become stronger, lose fat, gain muscle, vent their problems to me, heal their minds, and my favorite tell me they come because it brings them peace. The workouts are an hour long, of hiit, cardio, mobility, stability, and a lot of core work. Don’t forget sunbathing as well ! Workouts are never the same ,Thursday mornings at 9 in the morning at Avalon Street Clearwater Beach, Saturday at 9 in the morning at Spa Beach Park St. Pete, and Sunday at 9 in the morning at Avalon Street Clearwater Beach.
Alright so before we go can you talk to us a bit about how people can work with you, collaborate with you or support you?
