Check Out B Row’s Story

Today, we’d like to introduce you to B Row.

B Row

Hi B, we’re so excited to have you on the platform. Before we get into questions about your work life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today.
Flattered by popular artists I took inspiration to try making raps for myself. In the 8th grade, I wrote about 40 songs in my school journal, which led me to develop a passion for writing. For about 2 years I honed in on that skill and took my songs to the studio, from then I spent days recording and learning about music and production. From odd job to odd job I spent the last 4 years trying to make my dream come true.

With the use of TikTok, I could leverage my platform to 60k followers from my viral “Open Verse” challenges, which were 1-minute videos of me rapping or singing my own verse on popular songs on TikTok. With the help of local acts and close ones, I was able to acquire management to boost my career. I am at the start of my project rollout and have 3 to 4 songs lined up to release. The passion from day one has stayed and continued to push me forward through all my obstacles and successes.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story. Has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what challenges have you had to overcome?
I’ve had immense trouble with keeping a job, with the industry I’m in, there’s a lot of chaos and uncertainty, hours of the day where I should be working I’m recording music or content.

With that comes a lack of financial stability, which you can imagine is something important for this business. So, navigating not having much money as well as weird/horrible sleep hours, I’ve had to fight through and continue to overcome.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I specialize in vocal recording engineering and writing; I’ve been writing for about eight years, recording for 5, and engineering for around 3. I am most proud of my voice over the years, with help I’ve been able to maneuver and play with my voice in ways I’d never imagine from the start.

I think that is what also separates me from other artists, im not the best singer but best believe my voice on any song will sound good! That mixed with my work ethic I believe I will have a very successful career.

Networking and finding a mentor can have a positive impact on one’s life and career. Any advice?
Advice I can give is to be genuine with the people you meet. I believe that what you give is what you attract, so at all times, be aware of your attitude and delivery. Those things matter when networking.
