Today we’d like to introduce you to Suzanne Gray, M.ED., LMT, CT.
Suzanne, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I was born and raised in the vibrant city of Chicago. I embarked on a life-changing adventure when I participated in an exchange program that brought me from Illinois State University to the sunny shores of Florida, where I enrolled at USF. Little did I know that this journey would alter the course of my life forever, leading me away from my hometown and into a world of purpose and passion.
Initially, my focus lay in the realm of education, as I pursued my undergraduate studies in early childhood and elementary education. The pursuit of knowledge didn’t end there; I went on to achieve a master’s degree in curriculum and instruction, and for some time, I flourished as a dedicated teacher. It was during this phase of my life, while nurturing my beautiful family of two children, that a newfound fascination with health and wellness began to emerge.
My curiosity about alternative health practices led me to the discovery of massage therapy. This pivotal moment transformed my perspective, igniting a sense of purpose that would shape my future endeavors in unforeseen ways.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Having battled digestive issues myself, I stumbled upon a book titled “Tissue Cleansing Through Bowel Management” by Dr. Bernard Jensen, and it felt as though the author had written it just for me.
At that time, discussions about elimination and its profound impact on overall health were scarce. Eager to explore this untapped territory, I sought out a colon therapist and experienced my first session over three decades ago. The results were profound and life-altering, setting me on a new and purposeful path.
In the 30-plus years since that transformative experience, I have had the privilege of collaborating with professionals from both traditional and holistic medical approaches. My unique role as the first colon therapist in a gastroenterologist’s office allowed me to contribute to prepping for colonoscopies and fecal transplants long before they became regulated.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
I have now been practicing massage and colon hydrotherapy in the Tampa Bay area for over 30 years. I emphasize the relationship of the colon to overall health, which includes detoxification, digestive care, and lifestyle possibilities.
I incorporate reiki, massage, acupressure, reflexology, aromatherapy, and other alternative therapies. Additionally, I am an International Association for Colon Hydrotherapy (I-ACT) certified instructor for colon hydrotherapy and have taught nationally and internationally.
I have served on the Board of Directors of I-ACT for 8 years and in 2011 was awarded the President’s Award.
Can you share something surprising about yourself?
Continuing on my path of discovery, I recently expanded my repertoire by integrating Colour Energy Intelligence into my practice. This fascinating approach explores how colors impact our physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual well-being, enriching my understanding of holistic healing.
Today, my passion lies in my practice of colon hydrotherapy, which I seamlessly blend with various other modalities. By incorporating energy work, including massage, reiki, light therapy, vibration, frequency, and color energy intelligence, I strive to provide a comprehensive approach to healing—one that transforms lives from the inside out.
The journey of holistic wellness includes the profound power of colon hydrotherapy and its harmonious fusion with other modalities, all of which contribute to a transformative path of health and vitality. By self-discovery and healing, we uncover the magic of transforming our lives from within.
