Today, we’d like to introduce you to Ebony Grooms . Ebony was introduced to us by the brilliant and talented Andrea Hopkins.
Ebony, can you walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I’ve been in retail management for 24 years, 20 of those years as a General manager. The most rewarding part of my journey is the relationships I’ve built along the way. Creating confidence in people through their wardrobe is in my DNA and it continues 24 years later to bring me great satisfaction. Being a leader of leaders is the other part that keeps me motivated and inspired. During my 24 years of leadership, I’ve worked for 3 brands. I’ve given 13 years and counting to my current brand because they see me as an individual, they’ve supported me through becoming a mother and created a space where I felt safe and included, and they feed my need to lead through my people.
Let’s talk about your work and career – what else should we know?
As I said before, creating confidence and leading leaders is what I do. What sets me a part from others is that I invest in my people whether it’s a 16 year old starting a new job to a single mother that needs to supplement her income or a retiree looking to pass the time. I believe that all people have a super power or a specialty and it’s my job to help them find it and leverage it. I empower people to be their best at all times and put my best foot forward daily to also inspire and motivate.

I have always had beautiful skin and because of this I didn’t take skin care as serious as I should have. Once I started seeing Andrea my skin started to glow. She has taken the time to walk me through what she is doing for my skin but to also advise me on what products I would need to maintain. Through my monthly sessions with Andrea and the skincare routine that she built for me, my skin is radiant. I often go out with no make-up at all and receive the most amazing compliments. When people ask what I’m wearing, I tell them SKIN BY ANDREA! I often get giggles but I explain and refer them.
