Hi Ileana, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
Born in Miami and raised in Tampa. I’m a Hispanic American who believes that anything is possible if you are determined! I began my career after going to Manhattan Hairstyling Academy. I obtained my license as a skin specialist, but my passion was always the fashion industry! I began doing makeup and worked as a makeup artist for eight years and realized I wanted to open up my own small business from home!! I have to say it wasn’t easy, and I really thank God for all the opportunities he has allowed in my life. If it wasn’t for him, I wouldn’t be where I am today. I definitely faced a lot of challenges & I began to have a lot of health issues where I had to stop doing makeup for good. I believe that God placed me where I am today, and now I have my own online shoe & jewelry business! I named it Ileana Shoe Boutique! One time someone asked me, “what is your dream job?” I said, “where I am today is my dream job,” like I mentioned in the beginning, I always had a passion for fashion and little by little, I was able to sell shoes online! Thank God I have been successful. I thought that I would never be able to work again ever since I was diagnosed with anemia and other neurological conditions. I literally cried, and I asked God, “what am I going to do now?!” and then the thought came! Why not open up an online shoe boutique, and that’s where it all began. I’ve learned to never give up no matter what circumstances may come our way! Whether it be financially, physically, or mentally with God, anything is possible! I’m so thankful for everything.
We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
No, it wasn’t easy. I did face a lot of health issues being anemic. Having to receive infusions every two weeks definitely changed my life completely, but it didn’t stop me from pursuing my goals!

Well my boutique is unique! I always stay with what’s on trend and have many colors & styles that are barely around and hard to find! I offer free shipping for all orders anywhere in the United States. I think this is what sets my business apart from any other and I always have new styles coming in so it’s never the same!
