Hi Gebria, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I received a pair of crocs and I did not like the charms provided at the store.
I ordered some charms off of Amazon and added my own touch of bling to the shoe. I personalized it with my name and added rhinestones, trim, and charms that represented me.
I posted them on my Snapchat story and people asked if I could do theirs. What started off as something to pass time became the start of my journey in customizing shoes.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I wouldn’t say it’s been easy. Owning a business has many unforeseen obstacles. Some struggles that came along the way was finding the right glue to stick to the rubber. Due to the material, a lot of adhesives that I found were made for glass or plastic.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I didn’t want to be boxed into just customizing crocs so I ventured off selling handbags, customizing other brands of shoes and selling accessories.
Having a second stream of income was very important to keep me afloat. I am most proud of my social media presence. I reached 9K followers before it was hacked and had to restart over. This reset my focus and made me grow my business from the ground up again.
I did raffles to celebrate milestones and designed my website so that I would have a more professional way to place an order. Every order that I do is customized to the customer’s preference. My talent has brought smiles during moments of sorrow of losing a loved one and unexpected gift surprises. I really take pride in satisfaction on every order and that’s what sets me apart.

I am most happy with having something that belongs to me.
My business reflects the trying times of hard work, dedication, and persistence. I am so proud of myself for not giving up on my dream and pushing myself outside of my comfort zone.
