Today we’d like to introduce you to Nick Frasse, Co-Founder of Hub Tap, Mobile Event Co.
Hi Nick, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
My partner and I had an idea for a brick and mortar type venue, but the cost was too prohibitive. So instead, we saw these retrofitted horse trailers that were turned into bars. They were pretty popular across Europe and mainly the UK. So we decided to see if we could even build a successful business that was a little less cost-prohibitive. So we found a used horse trailer and built our first Hub Tap bar! Today we have expanded into a 1,500 sq. ft. warehouse with multiple trailer bars and traditional bars.
We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
As with anything in life, things ebb and flow, so building a small business is really no different. We have had points where things went really well and times when all hell breaks loose. It’s really about managing expectations of yourself as a business owner and being able to push through and not give up.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Hub Tap, Mobile Event Co. is true that a mobile event company. We offer bartending services to our clients who are hosting weddings, private parties, corporate events, etc. We offer our clients an all-inclusive package that includes everything they need to party, from the staff and the bar to mixers and garnishes. The only thing we don’t provide is the alcohol, which our clients can procure from wherever and save money in the long run. My partner and I are really proud of the brand we have built, all as a side business while working full time and have two families to support. We try to make sure that at every event that we work, we are making their day as special as possible and our number one goal is to provide the best service possible to set ourselves apart from the competition.
