Today we’d like to introduce you to Edna Goldberg.
Hi Edna, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstories with our readers?
Originally from Puerto Rico, moved to the US at 19. Learnt English and worked as an Engineer traveling the US and did that for almost 15 years. Settled in the Tampa Bay area in 2010 and worked for a Water Filtration Manufacturer for 7 years and realized I wanted to change careers. It is very hard to let go of a steady paycheck to start over as self-employed but with the support of my dear husband and business partner, we saved enough to cover expenses for a year and dove right in. First, I established my photography business (www.timelesstampa.com) and through it, I started doing real estate photography where I met several agents who encouraged me to get my license. I’ve always loved real estate careers but did not have enough information or encouragement to pursue it. about 4 years ago, I went for it. During the pandemic, my husband also obtained his license, and today we work together as a team to provide the best customer service experience for our buyers and sellers. We believe in quality of business rather than number or transactions. We all want to make money but we believe customer service goes a long way, not only because we love to treat our customers as we want to be treated but also our customers will come back because they will have a positive and long-lasting impression from our work. I am bilingual in English and Spanish and very hands-on! I am known to go and help our customers with moving and doing light rehab on their property in order to save them in labor expenses and obtain the most for their property.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It has been difficult but rewarding. As with any new venture, there is a learning curve. In real estate is of extreme importance to be knowledgeable on laws and different types of transactions and situations because after all, you are dealing with other people’s money and dwelling and we do not take that lightly. The types of diversity we have encountered with all our transactions have given us and continue to give us solid foundation to serve our future customers. We have dealt with transactions pending probate, unpermitted work, closing permits before transaction closing, customers in very delicate situations, failed inspections, and lots of negotiations to keep a transaction going.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
We are a husband-and-wife team. My husband, Howard Goldberg, has over 30 years experience in sales. I am an engineer who decided to pursue a career in real estate and loving it! Howard is native of Toronto and I am native of Puerto Rico. The universe brought us together 14 years ago and there is no other partner I would rather have! We both believe in taking care of our customers with prompt service and transparency above all. I am a native Spanish speaker so we are able to serve a big group of customers in our beautiful and diverse Tampa Bay area.
There is no home too far for us. We have listings in Jacksonville! Once you choose to work with us you will also have professional photography for your listing, video walkthrough, and a free 4-point inspection!
What was your favorite childhood memory?
There are too many to list. I was fortunate to have a humble but very happy childhood in my native Puerto Rico. We didn’t have much but I did not need much. Growing up in such a beautiful place with my family there were never bad days.
