Today we’d like to introduce you to Vince Bronson.
Hi Vince, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
March 2011, my life changed. I had no clue the awakening I was about to have. My life was going to change dramatically. I had been facing serious time in different states and had no understanding of what I was doing to myself. Self-destruction. Physically and mentally tired, I have up and decided to try and turn my life around. Somehow someway. I did, but bad habits always found their way back, even in the midst of me trying to get back in shape. I battled with my physical fitness because of alcohol and drugs. I was born and raised as an athlete. I couldn’t believe I had become what I had become. But somehow, I managed to do a few push-ups here and there. It wasn’t until 2012. I took it a bit more seriously. Almost giving up everything and leaving everything behind semi-homeless, I moved and relocated to a small basement with friends. We had a small gym and all we did was the workout. Like five times a day, crazy! Plus some days. My best friend Christopher. The P90x guru. He taught me to pick my chin up and remember who I really was. Later we both became serious trainers and started to compete in NPC bodybuilding shows. This discipline is what got me to stop drinking and drugs. I got addicted to the physical challenges and was rewarded with an awesome body.
A new vessel. A new start to a different life. Later in life, I decided to train mostly for fun. But ended up modeling and acting. Figure modeling is when you pose for artists. I became known as a great muse in the area. And later became a burlesque/male entertainer and magic Mike performer. A life I could never have for seen. Led to great times and bad times. High highs and lows. Traveled the country performing for three years and performed for almost five years straight. And now, today, I have created an apparel brand called StreetFit. A brand developed thru all my trying times when I had to humble myself and restart as many of us do. My fitness goals never stopped thru everything I had been thru. StreetFit is more of a motivating brand for the people created by the people. Nothing super glamorous but hard work, and with hard work comes great rewards. Today I live in Palm Harbor with my fiancé Roselee. We both pretty successful, so we have decided to go into business for ourselves soon. We are opening a few businesses in the near future. We also have a little puppy named Owen, a French bulldog. I am blessed to be here in Florida and blessed to have a family.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
No, not a smooth road at all. I was faced with moving long-distance, dealing with addiction issues and the jail—loss of many loved ones and friends. And when you have a record finding a place and work is hard. So that is where me being an entrepreneur comes from. I promised myself that in 2009 after I had surgery on my broken shoulder, I will never rely on a single check ever again. Will never depend on a company to survive ever again. So personal training was my start to doing just that. I have also opened fire extinguisher and fire protection companies and start from the ground up. I have also done hard labor and physical work during the entirety of my fitness career. Physical injuries and training were a regular thing. I sometimes would wake up at 330am and go work in the cold all day. Catch two busses home and walk. To change and head out to the gym to train clients. And not return home till 10 pm and do it all again. I was a club bouncer for six years as well. So sometimes I had a client at 7 am and left the club at 330 or 4 am. Life sucks. But I kept it moving. Challenges are what make us stronger.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I am a creative person. I love making new things and setting myself in a direction no one else will choose. I would say I’m known for just doing me. I do things others don’t. I’m an entertainer from speaking to inspire or motivate someone or entertaining a group for a party. I enjoy helping and being of service to people, from construction, personal training, art and creating and manifesting what I want in life. Many people find that hard to do. I think believing in one’s self is what sets me apart from others.
Can you share something surprising about yourself?
I was a magic Mike performer for three years. And a male dancer for five, lol. I modeled around the country and also was on TV and radio before StreetFit LLC was created.
