Rising Stars: Meet Nicola Woon

Hi Nicola, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
Over the years of working as a Caregiver, providing care to both young adults and seniors, with or without limitations I discovered my Passion and Dreams. My now deceased sister-in-law Linda was a constant source of encouragement to me to pursue my dreams and passion, and I decided after her passing to finally fulfill them and make it a reality to her memory.

It was very hard and challenging at first, but with the support of my parents and my immediate family, I manage to get “Endless Care” up and running even though, at one point my challenges grew harder and difficult having to also focus on implementing all of government business requirements with the State and ACHA. As a mother and grandmother of a handsome son and an adorable grandson made me very eager to establish my company by projecting who I am and all the benefits I had to offer so as to cultivate a loyalty with my clients and their families. I have My company achieved a “5 star” care provider reward only after five months of establishment. I built a good relationship and remain hopeful and encouraged especially through the pandemic situation to acquire a better and more solid client opportunities. I am always happy in helping others and I knew I would be made a great provider once my company is opened. With my professionalism and ethics, it will also promote who I am as a person instead of as a company. I was privileged to have witnessed the unrelenting toll caregiving can take on family members and the importance of high quality and reliable home care.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
No! Definitely not a smooth road. It was becoming increasingly very complex in achieving our clients, especially when you are a new care provider. Cultivating a business can be extremely difficult with the covid19 pandemic along with the economic situations has definitely come upon us which makes it much harder. Money management in having enough capital to cover expenses, hiring of the caregivers and building a name for the business. Making sure clients pays on time and that they are satisfy with their services. Inadequate and ineffective advertisements. Going through reviews when a problem arises, particularly the productivity of the business.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
