Meet Taylor Morris of Sunshine & Saline Mobile IV Hydration

Today we’d like to introduce you to Taylor Morris.

Hi Taylor, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
My journey into healthcare began with a passion for helping people during some of their most vulnerable moments. I became a Registered Nurse and have spent the past eight years working in a variety of settings, including emergency medicine, acute care, long-term care, and nurse leadership. Throughout my career, I have seen firsthand the importance of hydration and how something as simple as proper fluid support can make a meaningful difference in how people feel.

After relocating to Florida with my family, I saw an opportunity to combine my clinical experience with my entrepreneurial spirit and founded Sunshine & Saline. I wanted to create a mobile wellness service that was professional, transparent, and focused on simplicity. Rather than offering an overwhelming menu of treatments, I built the business around nurse-led hydration support using Normal Saline, along with select wellness options such as Vitamin B12, B-Complex, Vitamin C, and magnesium.

Today, Sunshine & Saline provides mobile hydration and wellness services throughout Pinellas County and the greater Tampa Bay area, bringing convenient, personalized care directly to clients at home, in hotels, in offices, and at special events. My goal has always been to make wellness support accessible while maintaining the same professionalism, safety standards, and compassion I have practiced throughout my nursing career.

As a wife, mom of two, and working nurse, I understand how challenging it can be to prioritize your own well-being. Sunshine & Saline was built with that in mind—to provide simple, professional wellness services that fit into real life.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It definitely hasn’t been a completely smooth road. Like many small business owners, I’ve had to learn that building a business requires wearing many different hats beyond the service you actually provide.

One of the biggest challenges was starting a business in a highly regulated healthcare environment. As a nurse, I wanted to ensure everything was done correctly—from medical oversight and protocols to licensing, documentation, and client safety. There was a steep learning curve in navigating the business side while maintaining the highest standards of care.

Another challenge was building a client base from the ground up after relocating to Florida. I didn’t have an established network in the area, so much of the early growth came from networking, community outreach, local partnerships, and word-of-mouth referrals. There were many moments when I questioned whether I was investing my time and resources in the right places.

Balancing entrepreneurship with being a full-time nurse, wife, and mother has also required considerable flexibility. Long days, unexpected obstacles, and constant adjustments are part of it, but those experiences have taught me resilience and helped shape the business into what it is today.

That said, every challenge has helped me grow personally and professionally. Seeing positive client feedback, building relationships in the community, and creating a business that reflects my values have made the journey incredibly rewarding. I’m proud of how far Sunshine & Saline has come and excited about where it’s headed next.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
Sunshine & Saline grew out of my nursing background and personal life experiences. As a Registered Nurse, I’ve spent years caring for people in hospitals, emergency departments, and rehabilitation settings, as well as in leadership roles. Through those experiences, I saw how something as simple as hydration could significantly affect how people feel.

When my family relocated to Florida, I began thinking about how to create something of my own that combined my clinical skills with a more personal approach to wellness. As a wife, mom of two, and working nurse, I understand firsthand how easy it is to put my own well-being on the back burner. I wanted to create a service that made it easier for people to take care of themselves without adding more stress to their already busy lives.

Many people don’t realize that Sunshine & Saline is still a small, family-owned business. I’m currently the person behind every aspect of it—from answering inquiries and creating marketing materials to scheduling appointments, educating clients, and providing the services myself. Building a business from the ground up has been both exciting and humbling, and I’ve learned something new almost every day.

What I’m most proud of isn’t a specific service or product—it’s the relationships I’ve started building within the community. Whether someone books an appointment, stops by an event, or simply asks questions about wellness, my goal is always to provide honest information and a professional experience. I want people to feel comfortable knowing they’re working with a nurse who genuinely cares about their experience and is committed to doing things right.

At its core, Sunshine & Saline reflects who I am: a nurse, a mom, and someone who believes that caring for others should always come first. My hope is that as the business grows, it continues to feel personal, approachable, and rooted in the same values that inspired me to start it.

Before we let you go, we’ve got to ask if you have any advice for those who are just starting out?
My key advice is to begin before you feel entirely prepared. When I launched Sunshine & Saline, I dedicated a lot of time to perfecting everything—the website, marketing, policies, branding, and business plans. While preparation is essential, eventually you must take the leap and learn as you progress.

I wish I had understood how much entrepreneurship involves skills beyond the service you offer. As a nurse, I was confident in my clinical abilities, but building a business required me to learn marketing, networking, website design, bookkeeping, social media, sales, and many other skills not covered in nursing school. Being open to learning and adapting has been as critical as my healthcare background.

Another insight is not to compare your start to someone else’s middle. It’s easy to see established businesses and wonder why your growth is slower, but every business follows its own path. Focus on providing excellent service, building genuine relationships, and making small daily improvements. Over time, these small steps accumulate.

Most importantly, don’t hesitate to ask questions and seek guidance. Many of the best opportunities and advice I received came from reaching out to other business owners, mentors, and professionals who had faced similar challenges. People are often more willing to help than you might expect.

Starting a business can be daunting, but it’s also extremely rewarding. Be patient, stay adaptable, and remember your initial motivation. If you’re passionate and dedicated to serving others, success is about persistence, not perfection.
