Today we’d like to introduce you to Chris Cava.
Hi Chris, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Ever since I was 14 years old I have had a huge passion for music and appreciated all forms of it. It never really mattered about the Genre as I felt like I can learn something from everything.
Picking up guitar at an early age I learned how to play various songs and later developed my own style of music from inspirations of classical, Spanish guitar, jazz, and percussive elements.
Ever since then, I have decided to make this my passion, as well as my career being a musician.
From playing solo performances and being a content creator on Social Media, to teaching guitar and playing in various music groups and bands locally and in church environments, I have adapted my own way of making music a full time career.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
There is never such thing as a smooth road in any career choice. There’s always difficult obstacles we get stuck in and we just have to push through and adapt to them,
Struggles include networking with people, trying to fit in dates that are very tight on schedule, overcoming financial barriers and planning on making a living doing what I love without making sacrifices.
Today, it’s very hard for musicians to make a living and we have to do our best to do whatever it takes.
Commitment is a big struggle

As a composer, I start off most of my day by learning other styles and pieces of music to add to my repertoire of playing.
I’m very proud of the unique style of guitar playing I have adapted to, while also being versatile and efficient with other styles like a Swiss Army knife.
