Hi Deanna, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I started my resin journey back in 2023, creating delicate jewelry with pressed florals and discovering how much I loved preserving nature in a new way. One day, after walking through my local farmers market, I picked out a fresh bouquet, brought it home, and decided to preserve it for the very first time—and that moment changed everything. Since then, my passion has truly blossomed. Working with dried florals feels so natural to me, like it’s exactly what I’m meant to be doing, turning meaningful blooms into lasting pieces of art.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Like any creative path, there have been challenges along the way. Learning how to properly cure resin took time and patience, and navigating the natural color changes in florals pushed me to grow and adapt. Each lesson has strengthened my skills and deepened my love for the process.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I’m a floral preservation artist, specializing in creating custom keepsakes from meaningful blooms—whether that’s wedding bouquets, special events, or even memorial arrangements. I take flowers that hold deep sentimental value and transform them into lasting pieces that can be cherished for years to come.
One of my proudest moments has been being featured this month in a wedding issue magazine in my hometown, as well as becoming a part of Tampa Voyage. Those opportunities have been incredibly meaningful and affirming in my journey.
What sets me apart is the care and intention I put into every piece. I understand the emotional value behind each arrangement, and I approach my work not just as art, but as a way to preserve memories in a truly personal and lasting way.
