Today we’d like to introduce you to Blue Solej.
Hi Blue, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
My journey into this work began long before I had the language for it. I have always been deeply connected to the body — to energy, to healing, to the sacred intelligence that lives within us. But it was my own personal experiences with womb health, with the gaps I witnessed in how women’s bodies are understood and cared for, and with the profound inadequacy of conventional medicine when it comes to the full spectrum of a woman’s reproductive and emotional experience, that truly called me into this work with intention and purpose.
I began my formal training as a Certified Massage Therapist, and from there my path expanded naturally into holistic health. I became a Holistic Health Practitioner and a Certified Doula — and with each layer of training, I found myself drawn more and more specifically to the intersection of fertility, womb healing, ancestral wisdom, and the spiritual dimensions of reproduction that mainstream medicine simply does not address.
What I noticed, again and again, was that women were coming to their fertility and pregnancy journeys fragmented — their bodies being treated in isolation from their emotions, their histories, their nervous systems, their spirituality, and their ancestry. They were receiving diagnoses without root-cause understanding. They were being offered interventions without being offered healing. And they were carrying grief, fear, and disconnection from their own bodies that no prescription or procedure was designed to touch.
Subtle Body Womb Ritual was born from that gap. I built it as the practice I wish had existed — one that holds the whole woman, addresses every root cause, draws from the most powerful healing traditions in the world, and approaches fertility, pregnancy, birth, and postpartum not as medical events to be managed but as sacred thresholds to be honored. Today I work with women globally as an Integrative Fertility Specialist and Ancestral Birthworker — and every day I am humbled by what becomes possible when a woman’s body is finally given the care it was always asking for.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It has been anything but a smooth road — and I think that honesty is important, because the journey that led me here was not a straight line. It was a winding, sometimes painful, deeply transformative path that required me to trust something in myself long before the world around me validated it.
One of the earliest and most persistent challenges was simply existing in a space that was not built for what I was doing. Holistic healing — particularly the kind that centers ancestral wisdom, womb medicine, and spiritual care — is not always taken seriously in mainstream wellness culture. There were moments early in my journey where I had to hold my conviction about this work firmly against the weight of a world that wanted to reduce it to something less than what it is. Learning to stand in the full legitimacy of what I offer, without shrinking it to make it more palatable, was one of the most important and most difficult parts of building this practice.
Building something from the ground up as an independent practitioner also came with its own very real challenges — the business side, the visibility, the learning curve of bringing something genuinely new into the world without a blueprint to follow. There is no established roadmap for what Subtle Body Womb Ritual is. I was building it as I walked it.
And then there is the emotional weight of this work itself. Holding space for women in some of the most vulnerable and painful seasons of their lives — navigating infertility, pregnancy loss, traumatic births, postpartum struggles — requires a depth of presence and emotional resilience that has to be constantly tended to. Learning how to be fully present for my clients while also protecting and nourishing my own energy has been one of the most ongoing and humbling lessons of this path.
But every obstacle has shaped this practice in ways I would not trade. The struggles gave me the depth, the credibility, and the compassion that this work requires. They are part of why I can hold my clients the way that I do — because I know what it means to keep going when the path is unclear, and to trust the work even when the world has not yet caught up to it.
As you know, we’re big fans of Subtle Body Womb Ritual. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
Subtle Body Womb Ritual is a holistic women’s health & wellness practice specializing in integrative fertility support, ancestral birthwork, and the full spectrum of maternal care — from preconception through postpartum. I work with women globally as an Integrative Fertility Specialist, Holistic Health Practitioner, Certified Massage Therapist, and Certified Doula — and everything I offer is built on the understanding that a woman’s reproductive health is inseparable from her hormonal health, her nervous system, her emotional life, her nutrition, her spiritual alignment, and her ancestral lineage.
What I specialize in most deeply is the space that conventional medicine has consistently failed to occupy — the root-cause, whole-person, spiritually-informed care that women navigating fertility challenges, pregnancy, birth, and postpartum recovery have always needed but rarely received. I work with women who are trying to conceive naturally, women navigating PCOS and fibroids, women preparing for or recovering from IVF, women who have experienced pregnancy loss, and women moving through the sacred transitions of pregnancy, birth, and the fourth trimester. Every care plan I build is completely personalized — drawn from a woman’s specific labs, her cycle history, her physical presentation, her emotional landscape, and her spiritual background.
What sets Subtle Body Womb Ritual apart is the integration. Most practitioners work in one lane — acupuncture, or massage, or nutrition, or coaching. What I offer is a comprehensive, multi-modal care experience that weaves all of these dimensions together into one cohesive, deeply personalized program. Fertility acupuncture, abdominal womb healing massage, herbal medicine, PCOS and fibroid-specific nutritional and supplement protocols, nervous system regulation, fertility yoga, yoni steaming, Womb Wisdom Life Coaching, and spiritual consultation — coordinated together, informed by your labs, adjusted as you progress. That level of integration is rare. And the results it produces are different from what any single modality can create alone.
I am also deeply rooted in ancestral and indigenous healing wisdom in a way that is not performative but practiced. The African healing traditions, the Ayurvedic lineage, the Mayan abdominal massage tradition, the Traditional Chinese Medicine frameworks — these are not aesthetic choices. They are the most sophisticated, time-tested systems of women’s reproductive medicine that exist. I bring them into every client relationship with full respect for their origins and full confidence in their clinical value.
What I am most proud of, brand-wise, is the integrity of what we have built. Subtle Body Womb Ritual does not water anything down. It does not offer a generic program and call it personalized. It does not promise what it cannot deliver. Every offering — from the Conscious Conception Fertility Program to the Holistic Doula Care container to the private Couples Conscious Conception Retreat in Bali — is designed with the same level of depth, intentionality, and devotion to the woman at the center of it.
What I want readers to know is this: if you have been navigating your fertility or your maternal health journey and have felt like conventional medicine was not giving you the full picture — you were right. There is a deeper level of care available. One that sees your body not as a problem to be fixed but as an intelligent, sacred system asking for the right support. That is what Subtle Body Womb Ritual exists to provide. And we are here for every woman who is ready to receive it.
Where do you see things going in the next 5-10 years?
The landscape of women’s reproductive health is shifting in ways that are both overdue and deeply exciting — and I believe we are standing at the beginning of a fundamental transformation in how fertility, pregnancy, birth, and postpartum care are understood, practiced, and accessed.
What we are witnessing right now is a global awakening. Women are increasingly refusing to accept the fragmented, symptom-focused, often dismissive care they have been offered by conventional medicine — and they are turning, in extraordinary numbers, toward holistic, root-cause, whole-person approaches. The search volume for treatments like fertility acupuncture, womb massage, herbal medicine for PCOS and fibroids, HypnoBirthing, yoni steaming, and postpartum healing has grown dramatically year over year. Women are researching. They are demanding more. And the practitioners who are positioned to meet that demand with genuine depth, clinical rigor, and cultural authenticity are going to lead what I believe will be one of the most significant shifts in healthcare of our generation.
I also believe we are moving toward a long overdue reckoning with the maternal health crisis — particularly as it affects women of color. The data on Black maternal mortality, the disproportionate fibroid burden, the gaps in culturally competent reproductive care — these are not statistics that the next generation is willing to accept. The movement toward community-based, culturally rooted, holistically informed maternal care is growing, and I believe it will only accelerate over the next decade.
Within that context, my personal vision for Subtle Body Womb Ritual extends well beyond what it is today. Over the next five to ten years, I intend to open a holistic birth center — a physical sanctuary where women and families can access the full spectrum of integrative fertility, birthwork, prenatal, birth, and postpartum care under one roof. A space where conventional and holistic medicine work in genuine partnership. Where a woman can receive her fertility acupuncture, her womb massage, her nutritional consultation, her birth preparation, and her postpartum restoration in an environment that was designed — aesthetically, energetically, and clinically — to honor the sacredness of what she is moving through.
Alongside the birth center, I am deeply called to establish a nonprofit organization dedicated to making these resources accessible to families who need them most — providing naturopathic fertility support, holistic doula care, family planning education, and postpartum healing services to parents and young families who would not otherwise have access to this level of care. Because the healing that Subtle Body Womb Ritual offers should not be available only to those who can afford a private program. It should be a standard of care. And building the infrastructure to make that possible — through community programming, sliding-scale services, practitioner training, and advocacy — is a mission I carry with the same devotion I bring to every individual client.
The next decade in this industry belongs to the practitioners who understand that women’s reproductive health is not a niche but a revolutionary mission. It is the foundation of family, of community, and of the next generation. The work we do in the fertility room, the birth space, and the postpartum season ripples outward in ways that shape entire lives. I intend to build something that honors that truth at every level — and invites the whole community into the healing.
