Meet Dustin Daprizio of BIO Scene Care

Today we’d like to introduce you to Dustin Daprizio.

Hi Dustin, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I’m the owner of BIO Scene Care, a biohazard remediation company based in Tampa that specializes in after-death cleanup, crime scene cleanup, hoarding situations, and other hazardous environments that most people never think about until they’re faced with a crisis.

My path into this industry wasn’t something I planned early in life. Like a lot of people in this field, I found my way into it through a combination of life experience, a desire to help people, and recognizing a real need in the community. I’ve always been drawn to work that requires toughness, discipline, and problem-solving, but also compassion. When families experience a traumatic loss or a difficult living situation like hoarding, they’re often overwhelmed and don’t know where to turn. I realized there was an opportunity to build a company that could step in during those moments and handle situations that most people simply aren’t equipped to deal with.

Starting BIO Scene Care required a lot of specialized training, certifications, and a deep understanding of biohazard safety, OSHA regulations, and proper remediation procedures. This is a field where there’s no room for shortcuts—everything has to be done safely, professionally, and with respect for the people involved. From the beginning, my focus was on building a company known for professionalism, discretion, and compassion.

Over time, BIO Scene Care has grown into a trusted resource throughout Florida for families, property managers, law enforcement, and insurance companies who need help restoring properties after difficult events. Our work can include anything from unattended death cleanups and crime scenes to severe hoarding environments, mold issues, and biohazard contamination.

What motivates me most is knowing that our work helps people move forward after some of the hardest moments of their lives. We don’t just clean properties—we help restore homes, protect health, and give families peace of mind during incredibly difficult times. That mission is what continues to drive the company today.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Like most businesses, it definitely hasn’t been a completely smooth road. Starting and growing a company in a very specialized industry comes with its own unique challenges.

One of the biggest obstacles early on was simply educating people about what biohazard remediation actually is. Most people don’t realize that situations like unattended deaths, crime scenes, hoarding environments, or severe biohazard contamination require trained professionals who follow strict safety and regulatory standards. A big part of the early struggle was building awareness and trust so that families, property managers, law enforcement agencies, and insurance companies understood that this type of work requires certified professionals.

Another challenge is the emotional weight of the work. Our team is often entering environments immediately after a tragedy, and we’re interacting with families who are going through one of the worst moments of their lives. That requires a lot of professionalism, compassion, and mental resilience. Learning how to support people while also managing the technical side of remediation was an important part of growing into the role.

Like any entrepreneur, there are also the typical business challenges—building a reputation, earning referrals, navigating regulations, investing in equipment and training, and making sure you’re hiring the right people for a very demanding type of work.

But those challenges have also been some of the most rewarding parts of the journey. Over time, as the company grew and people began to understand the service we provide, BIO Scene Care developed a strong reputation in the community. Seeing families relieved when they realize someone can step in and take care of everything for them makes all the challenges worthwhile.

Every difficult step along the way helped shape the company into what it is today.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
BIO Scene Care is a professional biohazard remediation company based in Tampa that specializes in the safe cleanup and restoration of environments affected by biological hazards. Our services include unattended death cleanup, crime scene cleanup, suicide cleanup, hoarding remediation, blood and bodily fluid cleanup, odor removal, urine and feces contamination, infectious disease, and mold/mildew remediation. These are situations that require specialized training, protective equipment, and strict adherence to OSHA and health regulations.

What sets BIO Scene Care apart is the combination of technical expertise and compassion we bring to every job. In most cases, we’re stepping into situations during one of the most difficult moments in someone’s life. Families are grieving, property owners are overwhelmed, and people often don’t know where to start. Our goal is to handle the entire process professionally and discreetly so that our clients can focus on what matters most—taking care of themselves and their families.

We’re known for our professionalism, rapid response, and the level of care we provide to the people we serve. Biohazard remediation isn’t just about cleaning—it’s about properly restoring a space so it is safe to occupy again. That requires industry certifications, specialized equipment, and strict compliance with safety protocols.

From a brand perspective, what I’m most proud of is the reputation we’ve built for reliability, discretion, and trust. This is not a business where people call you for routine services—they call because they’re facing a crisis. Knowing that families, property managers, law enforcement, and insurance professionals trust BIO Scene Care to step in during those moments means a lot to us.

At the end of the day, our mission is simple: restore properties, protect health, and help people move forward after difficult situations.

Where do you see things going in the next 5-10 years?
The biohazard remediation industry is continuing to evolve, and I think we’ll see several important shifts over the next 5–10 years.

One of the biggest changes will be increased regulation and professionalization of the industry. As awareness grows around health risks associated with biohazards—such as bloodborne pathogens, decomposition, and hazardous living environments—there will likely be stronger standards for training, certifications, and safety compliance. This is a positive development because it helps ensure that companies operating in this field are properly trained and equipped to handle these very sensitive situations.

Another trend is increased public awareness. Years ago, most people had no idea that services like crime scene cleanup or unattended death remediation even existed. Today, families, property managers, law enforcement agencies, and insurance companies are becoming much more aware that specialized professionals are needed to safely restore these environments.

We’re also seeing growth in related services, such as hoarding remediation, infectious disease decontamination, and environmental hazard cleanup. As populations grow and cities become more dense, the demand for these services will likely increase. Situations like severe hoarding, unattended deaths, and biohazard contamination unfortunately occur everywhere, and communities need qualified professionals who can respond quickly and responsibly.

Technology and equipment will continue to improve as well. Advances in decontamination technology, odor removal systems, and safety equipment are making the work more efficient and effective than it was even a decade ago.

Ultimately, I believe the industry will continue to move toward higher standards, better training, and greater public understanding of the critical role biohazard remediation professionals play in protecting health and helping families and communities recover after difficult situations.
