Today we’d like to introduce you to Francesca Scerbo.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
As they say everyone has a story. Mine took me to where I am now and it was the people and obstacles I overcame that made me want to make this into a career. I was a teenager with a severe eating issue, like not eating at all. I was at the brink of being sent to a facility when I had the aha moment I wanted to stop this ride and get healthy once and for all. I was fortunate enough with the help of my parents to get help from fitness professionals and nutrition coaches. With the help of this team I was able to recover and wanted to give back what they gave to me. That is where my career started. I got my BS in exercise science and my masters in clinical nutrition specializing in hormones, gut health, anti inflammatory and weight loss. I have had an amazing ride and am still going. I wanted to start helping people understand that balance in all areas of health are important to long term health and longevity.
I have always been into health but never imagined I would make a career that I am so passionate about out of it. It’s like they say what is your story. Mine is the ability to heal myself and improve my life with a nutrition plan that works for me. Not all plans are created equal, and having coaches in my life that understand what I was going through was just what I needed to heal and get myself back to a place of not being sick. That is why my coaching program is a one size fits all approach, it’s about your health and lifestyle with real stress free results and mine was a healthier body, and mindset.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Yes obstacles are always a part of life and growing your career but I have been fortunate to have it be relatively smooth. I have been blessed with great family, friends, and people around that are always willing to help and be an ear so obstacles don’t feel so challenging. But just like with anything in life we learn from them.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I absolutely LOVE what I do and the people I get to do this with, and help. I have 2 careers. So maybe we end on discussing what matters most to you and why?
Balance is what matters most as well as my family and career. Work is important but if you are not making time for you and the fun/other pillars of health that are important you are missing all the beauty in life. I used to be that person till the last few years. When you have balance you see things clearer and your career thrives. I am all about balance which is why I named the company Balanced Nutrition.
