Today we’d like to introduce you to Leanna & Trey Angwin.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
It all started as a hobby. I just wanted to learn more and get better at something I really enjoyed. I began with nature photography, capturing little details that most people might overlook. Over time, that passion grew into sports videography since I’m also a karate instructor and love everything about the sport.
Then one of our friends asked us to film their wedding because they liked our work, and we instantly fell in love with it. There’s just something so special about being able to bring people back to one of the happiest days of their lives. When we got our own wedding video months after our wedding, we realized how meaningful it would be for couples to relive those moments right away. That’s why we make sure our highlight reels are ready while couples are still on their honeymoon.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It definitely hasn’t been a totally smooth road, but I think that’s what’s made it so rewarding. When we first started, we were really just figuring everything out as we went, learning new gear, new editing programs, and how to actually run a business. There were a lot of late nights and trial and error moments.
Balancing photography and videography with our other jobs has also been a challenge at times. I’m a karate instructor and my wife is a full-time teacher, so it took some time to find our rhythm. Every project has helped us get a little better, and honestly, the challenges have been what pushed us to grow the most.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
We’re a husband and wife team who run Perfect Angle Photography and Videography. We specialize in sports videography, weddings, and family portraits. It started as a hobby, but over time it’s become something we truly love and are proud of.
We’re most known for our sports work. I’m a karate instructor, so that’s where it all began, filming tournaments, creating highlight reels, and capturing those moments of focus and victory. We’re now the official photography and videography team for Florida AAU Karate, which has been such an honor. Getting to document athletes’ dedication and seeing their hard work pay off never gets old.
What sets us apart is how personal we keep everything. It’s just the two of us, so when people book with us, they know exactly who will be there. We care about every detail, and we always want our clients to feel comfortable, have fun, and trust that we’ll capture their moments the way they deserve.
Alright so before we go can you talk to us a bit about how people can work with you, collaborate with you or support you?
The best way to work with us is to reach out through our website or social media pages. We’re always happy to chat about new projects, whether it’s a wedding, a family session, or sports coverage. We love collaborating with local schools, dojos, and organizations, especially when it comes to capturing athletes in action.
People can also support us just by spreading the word. Sharing our posts, recommending us to friends, or tagging us in photos means a lot and helps us keep doing what we love. Since it’s just the two of us running everything, every message, referral, and bit of support truly makes a difference.
