Hi Ayasha, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I like to say that Blueprint Travel was born on the glittering coastline of the French Riviera.
Here’s the story: As a single mom of two kids, my family means the world to me. So when my baby girl turned 18, I decided to do something BIG to celebrate.
I booked my kids and I on a 12-day Mediterranean cruise. But it soon transformed into so much more.
I couldn’t help myself! We were visiting Spain on the cruise—but how could we visit Spain and not Paris? I added on a few days. I’d heard Copenhagen was a must-visit, so I added on a few more days there.
Before I knew it, what started as “just” a cruise soon turned into an epic, 22-day European adventure. And while I had a travel agent book the cruise for us, I ended up planning everything else—private tours, transfers between destinations, the best hotels in prime locations, and even my own travel insurance.
I knew my hard work had paid off when I saw the smiles on my kids’ faces as we toured Eze, a hilltop town in the French Riviera that just oozes charm. My kids soaked up every word that our brilliant private guide, Michel Legrand, shared as we strolled the cobblestone streets—an impressive feat for a 12-year-old and 18-year-old who can usually be found with their noses buried in their phones!
Clearly, travel has the ability to captivate, inspire, and transform–
if it’s planned the right way.
Yes, it was an epic experience from beginning to end. But I couldn’t help but wonder—why was I left to do all that in-depth planning? Wasn’t my travel agent supposed to do that?

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Most of my journey has been through the typical hills and valleys that businesses experience. In the beginning, it was standardizing a monthly budget based on fluctuating income and a company with growing pains, where to hire help, to sifting through the infinite choices of travel summits, conferences, and site visits around the world.
The biggest challenge was assisting my clients in postponing their trips in 2020 and keeping up with the regulations for traveling to the limited number of locations that allowed tourism.

Blueprint Travel was born out of my passion for authentic cultural experiences, great food, and historical landmarks, while seeing the world and creating priceless memories.

Can you share something surprising about yourself?
Most of my time is spent on education. Educating myself on different properties, suppliers, and tour companies that are available to my clients. Traveling for 2 weeks to a month from one to three countries, doing site visits at four to five properties per day, and meeting with management for updates and continue relationships, while checking out local restaurants and touring options.
